  • This is my favorite piece because it turned out so perfect to me. It was a candid shot of my son just feeling the water between his toes. It emotes his adventurous side…his need to be independent and figure things out on his own. I also think it captured his playful side with his little toe wiggling. Theres so much I love about it, the emotion, the moment captured, the coloring, the reflection…..its definitely my masterpiece. • This is a collage I made in a workshop on visual journaling. In the exercise, we selected a card from a Goddess deck, then free-wrote a message from the goddess, then made a collage from the images broght forth in the writing. The goddess card I received was Gaia. The message I journaled was about my need to ground myself, and how I could use the gifts of Gaia to bring this grounding energy into my life. Indeed, every time I see this image, I feel grateful for all of our Mother Earth’s gifts and her abundance. I hope you will feel that way, too. /

  • This mixed-media piece came out of a session with a collaging group I used to meet with. We pooled our stash of images and shared the scissors, glue sticks, backing boards, and other tools of the trade, as we made and then shared our own creations. My process that night began by sifting through the image stash and cutting out what appealed to me. I found myself focusing on round things. That drew me into the money theme, because money can be round, too. Since my goals often center around providing a steady flow of prosperity for myself and my household, this image became a treasure map I have used in visualizing an abundant future. The title is a bit tongue in cheek ~ I’m always willing to see the humor in just about everything. /

  • Occasionally….late in the afternoons Kane will suddenly have a grumpy irrational tired phase (as I know all parents will know about). Doesn’t matter what’s happening… what I’m doing for him… he finds a reason to suddenly be unhappy with whatever is going on (in a very cute, over dramatised, crocodile tears kind of way). Usually lasts about as long as it takes for him to lose interest or find something suddenly interesting elseswhere where suddenly the tears miraculously dry up quick as a flash and his demeanour snaps back to normalcy like the flip of a coin.. This is one of those moments. FEATURED IN CAPTURING EMOTION GROUP FEATURED IN CHILDREN POWER OF RAW EMOTION GROUP .

  • There are of course causes near and dear to my heart and this is one of them. This is the image that kept popping up in my head when I thought of AIDS. I was in high school in the 80’s and back then you were taught that AIDS was a homosexual disease and was barely glanced over in class. You closed your eyes to it; you did not talk about it. It was only a few short years later that it came to the forefront of our consciousness. I have personally been touched by AIDS (as we will all most likely be) through the lost of a friend and co-worker, Christopher, at the age of 36.

  • The story of Leda and Zeus (or Jupiter) was very popular in ancient Greece. / Zeus managed to seduce the lady Leda while he was taking the form of a swan which came to her in search of aid. As Wikipedia says: “Their consummation, on the same night as Leda lay with her husband Tyndareus, resulted in two eggs from which hatched Helen, Clytemnestra, and Castor and Pollux,” all of whom grew up to become legendary figures in their own right. Images of their consummation were very popular decorations on ancient Greek stoneware…. This image is one of many story images of birds and animals featured in my calendar Legendary Tales: Myths and Legends Ink drawing with digital color, 2005

  • Featured In Core Group / ©Angi Baker / SEE & VIEW MUSIC HERE / This is another collaboration by myself and petmagent that I did, I hope you enjoy. / How it was done: Using Photoshop I used petmagnets sky shot and also the model shot, I first took the sky shot and added a flood filter and then I cut some of the models shot out and then layered it onto the sky shot, bringing back the opacity on the model to make a blend… I’m so tired of being here / Suppressed by all my childish fears / And if you have to leave / I wish that you would just leave / Your presence still lingers here / And it won’t leave me alone These wounds won’t seem to heal / This pain is just too real / There’s just too much that time cannot erase When you cried I’d wipe away all of your tears / When you’d scream I’d fight away all of your fears / And I held your hand through all of these years / But you still have / All of me You used to captivate me / By your resonating light / Now I’m bound by the life you left behind / Your face it haunts / My once pleasant dreams / Your voice it chased away / All the sanity in me These wounds won’t seem to heal / This pain is just too real / There’s just too much that time cannot erase When you cried I’d wipe away all of your tears / When you’d scream I’d fight away all of your fears / And I held your hand through all of these years / But you still have / All of me I’ve tried so hard to tell myself that you’re gone / But though you’re still with me / I’ve been alone all along When you cried I’d wipe away all of your tears / When you’d scream I’d fight away all of your fears / And I held your hand through all of these years / But you still have / All of me / Inspired By: Evanescence

  • Featured in Digital Art Compilations Group ©Angi Baker / Inspired by SEE & LISTEN TO VIDEO Collaboration with Myself & George Lenz 4 Layers / How it was done… / Using photoshop, I took the first layer and inverted it making it have the blue look, then I layered the 2nd image (SP)on and erased some of it and used the opacity to blend, I then used the paintbrush with white and made the brush small to make the snow effect, I then layered the 3rd layer and erased it all except for the cross, the 4th layer was the moon with my dear friend George give to me to use with some of my images, bringing the moon to screen on settings… I watched the video of Ozzy Osbournes Dreamer and got the inspiration from this video to do this image…

These guys were so serious, and as they got closer one of the men spied my little girl waving and shouting “HI”, he managed to crack a smile… even a wink.
