This Toyota concept vehicle was on display at the 2008 Melbourne International Motorshow. I went crazy with a flood filter and got rid of the people standing around it to create this image. The car is called the FT-H5 and is a hybrid electric concept, the car was also on display at the Chicago motorshow. Click here for my other photos of cars!
Beautiful pink Flamingos standing together. Taken on a bright sunny day in Singapore, July 2008. Settings and camera – Canon 5D and 100-400mm lens, f8, ISO 200, AV mode, exposure 2 x stops under to darken background and bring out pink in flamingos. Minor cloning to two areas in background to remove green tree spots.

Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery View from Mt Kaputar Stopped to take in this spectacular view on my way up to the Summit of Mt Kaputar, New South Wales, Australia. Mount Kaputar National Park is located on 36,817 hectares and is 50 kilometres east of Narrabri and 570 kilometres north west of Sydney. Mount Kaputar National Park consists of a gathering of sharp peaks and rocky ranges, the remnants of a 17 million year old volcano. Millions of years of erosion have carved this volcanic pile into the Nandewar Range, with its dramatic landscape of lava terraces, volcanic plugs and ring dykes. At the peak of the range is Mt Kaputar, which reaches an altitude of 1510m. From the summit it is possible to take in 360 degree views encompassing one tenth of NSW. The National Park is popular with rockclimbers. There are 11 walks in the national park, most offering spectacular views of the area. The park protects a wide variety of plant communities, including semi-arid woodlands, wet eucalypt forests and subalpine heaths. Wildflowers in spring provide a magnificent display. It’s home to a host of animal species, and provides a haven for many threatened species – including bats, birds, wallabies, quolls and a unique large pink slug, which often appears after rain. I spent the afternoon at Ft Logan National Cemetary in Denver for a funeral of a WW2 Veteran…I am a military brat. Both my mom and my dad were Marines and yet in my almost 31 years of life this is the first full metal service I have ever been too. It was the most amazing thing to be witness of. The guns, the flag, the doves…Was amazing!!! When it was all said and done what does any photographer do?? Take pictures…All the White headstones just amazed me. They go for miles and miles, thats all you see it is a reminder of how someone could be so unselfish to give there life for our Country! WOW! Such hero’s. I don’t do sappy stuff so this is new for me. A tribute and a memorial for each and every one who have served or are still serving (including my Mommy) / HDR Processed (Very mildly) and then enhanced in LR / Nikon D60 DSLR / Tamron 18-250mm / PLEASE VIEW LARGE TO REALLY GET THE FULL EFFECT /

A shot of someone’s backyard through a gap in the fence in a Newtown laneway merged in Ultimate FX using the Arithmetic function with a picture of cracked concrete and then re-merged with itself after using Advanced Liquid and Blur and repeated adjustments in contrast and brightness. I think this shows that with two fairly unpromising pictures, something wonderful can emerge.
