A Fri-day-day landed on the 22th day of June in TWOZEROZEROSEVEN HOROSCOPES Gemini / May 22 – June 21 Today you will feel like you’re a shaman of sorts, having many people who you never realized respected you coming to you for solace. This is unfortunate for them as you are terrible at giving advice. In fact, some would say you give ‘anti-advice.’ Remember the time you told that 10 year old kid that is was a good idea to go out and let spiders bite him incase one of them happened to be radioactive as per Spiderman?? Nice one. Aquarius / Jan 21 – Feb 19 All those dreamy plans you make while in transit should be acted on today, as the planets seem to have provided you with a ‘nothing can go wrong’ alignment. This might include quitting your job, planning a holiday or running to the woods with a burly male gypsy like Picasso did and experimenting in 6 months of gypsy loving. I mean really, how much do you really know about yourself until you’ve been with a gypsy?? Pisces / Feb 20 – Mar 20 Today you will certainly have a powerful urge for the better things in life. If ever there was a day to try that expensive wine you’ve had your eye on or that sports car you’ve been dying to test drive, this is the day. You will come off ritzy and full of class. If you are dirt poor and have to tell horoscopes on an art site for nothing however, why not sell your shoes and buy that family sized Cadbury’s you’ve been arrested five times for trying to shoplift?? Of course not all of us can sell there shoes, mine are gaff taped on to stop that strange guy that shouts at lamp posts who sleeps two dumpsters down from me from stealing them. And they said I’d never amount to anything. So cold. Aries / Mar 21 – Apr 20 Take it easy today. You’ve been burning up all you’re energy trying to get a million things done. Truth is, no one notices. You could walk out into the desert tomorrow and no one would care except maybe Telstra, who consider you a good customer. Just relax, get loaded and lose the pants. Then maybe go for a stroll. Get back in touch with mother earth and watch all the little things go by, you’d be amazed how much you’re missing every day just at your local park. And don’t worry, Police will more than likely only use riot pellets on a pants-less drunk guy smelling flowers at the local playground. Mothers of small children can be so finicky. Taurus / Apr 21 – May 21 You’re need to create is most powerful today. It’s possible that those around you will get burnt by your creative fires!! Try and stay focused or you may find yourself doing many projects that lead to nothing. Stick to the basics. That ark you’ve been building in your shed might need some work. Or maybe today you’ll finally figure out how to put a zipper on those pants you’re making from human toenails. If worst comes to worst, create yourself an insanity plea bargain for setting your neighbours on fire. Creative fires… sheesh. Nutball. Cancer / Jun 22 – Jul 22 Find yourself looking over your shoulder alot today?? No?? I see. My bad…. Leo / Jul 23 – Aug 23 It’s very much a ‘trust your basic animal coding’ kind of day for you today. The planets are trying to remind you that the days of only eating what you can catch and kill aren’t that far behind us. Use this to you’re advantage! Got your eye on that next big promotion? Stalk and kill the competition in the parking lot. Think that cute girl a few doors down would be much better off with you tan the guy she’s with?? Strut up and down her front door with your feathers showing, and when the male of the den comes to protect his herd, show him you’re crazy enough to lock antlers with just about anybody. Failing this, leap out your window after midnight and roam the alleys eating out of garbage cans. Whatever works. Virgo / Aug 24 – Sep 23 A day of sultry romance awaits you. Today you will find attracting the opposite sex as easy as churning wood into butter. Right up until you decide that showing you’re date the stamps you made from your own skin is the deal sealer. The planets can only do so much. Libra / Sep 24 – Oct 23 I see good things coming your way in the next two weeks. That is, of course, if you consider partners that pass out during love making, spend most of their free time in a shed surrounded by paint fumes and think sounds like ‘Manu konu banis’ are actual words. If not, unlucky. Scorpio / Oct 24 – Nov 22 Join a gang. / . Sagittarius / Nov 23 – Dec 22 There is nothing wrong with forcing your opinions on others. It’s amazing how quickly a boardroom will sway to your opinion after you fire a few Glock 17 rounds into the ceiling. Percussion weaponary means professional, remember that. Show up with a mere petrol bomb and no ones going to believe your thoughts on the upcoming financial review. Capricorn / Dec 23 – Jan 20 I just got an email from God, apparently he lost your soul in a poker game with the devil. Sorry buddy. Ouch. The NEWS…. New and Improved!! Maybe… ALIEN LAWYERS FIRST CASE A lawyer who landed an out-of-this-world job defending people who have suffered at the hands of aliens has started his first major case. BLIND BOYS LEADS FOOTBALL TEAM Schoolboy Sam Wishart has become captain of his local rugby team despite being nearly blind. / “Sometimes I drop the ball and it can be hard seeing my team-mates.” avanova.com The Birthdays – TODAY ONLY / if only I’d cut the Red wire… Meryl Streep 1949 Gary (INXS) Beers 1957 Stephen Page (Barenaked Ladied) 1970 WHILE YOU WERE SLEEPING….. 1558 – The French take the French town of Thioville from the English. DID YOU KNOW…. / just say maybe COCA-COLA Is *NOT an effective spermicide When first released on the Chinese market, the translation ‘_ko-ka-ko-la_’ meant “bite the wax tadpole.*” In the mid 80’s, coca-Cola recalled advertisement posters because an image of a woman about to perform fellatio could be seen in the ice surrounding the bottle. Coke and Asprin WONT get you high. Bummer.

1-10-2009 I’ve been taking a group of supplements that, together, are supposed to combine to help in several ways. There is supposed t be help with allergies and immune support. Also, they, allegedly, when taken together increase metabolism, therefore weight loss, and increase energy, and blah, blah, blah Well, I bought them because they promised to do double duty. Weight loss is a secondary consideration. I want to be able to breathe and think. At first, they seemed to be helping in those capacities, but, then, I started having wild cravings for sugar and caffeine, which i mostly was avoiding before. Another side effect of the supplements is supposed to be a loss of those sort of cravings, so, obviously something has gone wonky. Here I am, then, taking a combination of supplements that are supposed to make your health better, supposed to make you lose weight too, and which have worked for hundreds of people. I have been taking them for approximately 3 weeks and I have gained around 10 lbs, maybe more. I also contracted the flu,, and my sinuses are bleeding from allergies. Some of the supplements are soy isoflavones (spelling is probably not correct on that word, but, you’ll find them if you google them, anyway). Soy is one of those things, which can either be very good for you or very bad. Many people are allergic to it; many more have an intolerance, so in small doses it doesn’t harm, but, in large doses, it can make them quite ill and build up into an allergy. Therefore, I have decided, as of this morning, to drop the soy isoflavones from the supplements. It was the other two that were really supposed to help with immune support, etc., more than them, anyway. If I start feeling more clear-headed, healthy, etc. then I’ll know I made the right choice. 1-11-09 Today, I have decided to go ahead and finish taking the supplements, all of them, for whatever benefit may be derived, but,I also decided something else. I was thinking back on how I felt at certain times when I felt my best, and what the main difference was. Now, on some of them it was because of something nasty that I don’t care to repeat, like having an abscess so that I couldn’t eat at all. However, on two other occassions, the main difference wasn’t in what I wasn’t eating – as I was still having sugar, milk, etc. because I didn’t know I was allergic to milk, yet, and sugar – well, that’s a tough one to go without, is all. So, I was still having them, but, I was also eating a LOT of vegetables. There was also a lot less stress in many respects, than usual, in my life. Because one of those times was not too long after I met a guy, and we were still getting along. i’d go over to his house and make these huge skillet dishes for everyone, full of bell peppers and mushrooms, onions, garlic, a little sausage and egg. We’d have cheese toast with it, which I shouldn’t have done, but, I wasn’t feeling any worse for it, at that point. Then we started eating out at restaurants, more; we also started fighting sometimes. Both combined to make things much worse for me, physical health wise. The other time was right after we got here, to Arizona. We had no stove, and no refrigerator until Mom and Dad ran off to buy one. So, we were eating a lot of fried chicken and store bought Subs. But, we were also eating a lot of salad. Then, for a good long while, after we got a grill, I was cooking up a lot of eggplant, zucchini, mushrooms, onions, etc. together and serving them with steak that had been grilled on the George Foreman grill with a slice of lime on top of them. I was also dicing up lime very fine and putting the peel and juice into spaghetti. I lost massive amounts of weight ahd had energy to cook and clean on. This, despite that I was drinking coffee, eating ice cream, having cheese, etc. Now, the dairy is bad for me, always has been, though there is some speculation that it is the pasteurization of it, more than the milk, that is the problem. Many people are allergic to milk after it undergoes pasteurization, but they can drink it straight from the cow, as it were. I know I drank some like that before, as a kid, where they just squirted it into a cup and handed it around, and it was so much better! Also, I didn’t throw up from it, which was a very good sign, at the time. Though, i didn’t really start throwing up from milk, until junior High. I mean, where i knew that is what it was. That’s when I learned that a very little milk, or milk based product, could be handled for a short period of time. But, if I drank a lot, or had it for too long repeatedly, I’d end up vomiting, dehydrated, seeing weird things, and – oh, a lot of weird, bad things. Let’s just leave it at that. The doctors told me I didn’t have allergies. In fact, most of them did not believe in allergies. They told me I must have an ulcer, and it was all in my head. ???? But, I digress … The point is, the two times I remember feeling best were times of less demand on my person from others, or someone actively being nice to me, coupled with a lot of vegetation, raw and lightly cooked. Also, it involved a lot of lime juice and garlic, one time. So, there is my big decision. I am going to actively plan menus that may have beef and chicken or fish or whatever, on them, but, which are at least 50 percent based on fresh fruits and vegetables, preferably raw. Best, cheapest way to build up your enzymes, which will, in turn, aid your digestion and build up your immune system. Now, all I have to do is find the energy to plan the menus. lol ............ Later the same day: Righty. So, I took the soy isoflavones along with the other supplements. Plus, I drank some soy milk. I had an immediate thyroidal reaction that was too noticeably right after I drank the soy milk and took the supplements, to be attributable to just being ill or what have you. It swelled up and I had to grasp it and pull it out, away from my throat so I could breathe and swallow at all, for a bit and I can still feel it. So,, there is a supplement and drink crossed off my list of choices! I went to look up information about this, and I immediately found this site wherein it says, in part: Isoflavones belong to the flavonoid or bioflavonoid family of chemicals, and are considered endocrine disruptors—plants or other products that act as hormones, disrupting the endocrine system, and in some cases, this disruption involves acting as an anti-thyroid agent. (The grain millet, for example, contains high levels of flavonoids, and is commonly known as problematic for thyroid function). Flavonoids inhibit thyroid peroxidase (TPO), which disturbs proper thyroid function. * This could also explain why millet is on a no-no list for the Anti-Inflammation Diet even though it is on the yes-yes list for the Candida Yeast Overgrowth Diet (to prevent yeast from overgrowing, dearhearts, not to encourage it). Also, why i bloody well hate it, even though it is supposed to be good for me. I tried eating it, and it always made me feel tired and lousy. Well, well! Here I’ve been drinking soy milk for the last several years, because I can’t drink milk, and it appears it is much of the reason for my continued downward trend in health. *grr Here is another site that mentions the effect of soy on the thyroid, as well as other foods that can affect it. If this keeps up, I may not have anything left to eat or drink. lol

Well I have some wonderful news :) Ochre Gallery, where I exhibited in November had someone come in who wanted to buy Fruit of Life. I took it to the gallery yesterday and got a call today… its sold :) So now, only the prints are available :) And to top it all off, the same buyer purchased several other pieces from much better known artists, all to be displayed in his home gallery in Brisbane…. Well as you can imagine I’m well pleased with myself, even though I already miss my “fruit of life”..... it’s like letting a child go; well maybe not that dramatic, but it feels that way….but its always nice to know other people appreciate ones work enough to purchase it, especially in these economic times. So now “PARIS HERE I COME”

  • Forbidden Fruit

So after my rant about the stupidity that is DeviantArt I decided to return to true form and write something somewhat more in line with who I am. So why the title “Forbidden Fruit”? Well it is provocative, evocative, sexy and very much in describing my philosophy on life. You see I am a natural rebel. I rebel against most societal conventions as I view them to be merely social constructs imposed by people who held and often times do still adhere to obsolete ideas. I spent many years trying my absolute hardest to conform to the idiocy placed before my by society. The purusit of a 9-5 career, the pursuit of things I didnt ever want but was told I should have to make my life better. The pursuit of some level of “status” that only served to make me miserable. I am the daughter of artists, an artist myself and I could never ever buy into that idea. Those things never made me happy. In recent years as a model, an artist, and a self proclaimed free spirit I have been reclaiming myself. The real me, the real Audrey has been coming to the surface. The girl who loves to indulge in the forbidden fruit of a naughty and exciting life. I have cast aside the trappings of conformity. I have thrown off the limits of societal norms and am freely living and expressing who I am. It is a luxury that cant be bought for any amount. it is the ultimate, beautiful thrill. Some of these photos you see here are the byproduct of this new found passion and zest for life. They are an expression of me and their creation somehow allows me to cement and proclaim the resolve that I am finally free and finally me again. I, like the mythical Eve have eaten and indulged of the sensual juiciness of the “forbidden fruit”. After wiping its delectable, sticky juices off my neck and boobies ( I am a messy girl).I know now like Eve did that it bears the gift of wisdom. Wisdom to know that there is more to life than the rat race, carreers, and the banality of the the mundane office existence. Wisdom and knowledge are freedom. They are the keys to unlocking the shackles of conformity and of being able to unchain ourselves from the restrictions opposed on us by puritnical kooks who know no fun. So I ask you my wonderful friends who indulge in the forbidden fruit that are my naughty photos and the art of others . Realize that wisdom can be found in the most unlikely of places and that if you follow your dreams your heart and your passion you will be much happier than if you follow a path predetermined for you by a misguided society. XOXOXOXOXOXO Miss Audrey
