On a frosty june morning I found myself to the top of a local range looking at one of the most brilliant sunrise’s I have ever seen. The warm glow of the sun across the clouds and the shifting light made me forget about the the freezing temperatures I was working in.

Please press your thumbs: if I can believe the weather report on two Dutch television stations of tonight, there may be that wonderful combination of frost, mist and bright sunshine tomorrow morning! So I must push my ass to get out about 7.45 am to go to one of the right places. I am looking forward to it. This shot again was taken in the woods near Hilversum. Actually on a Sunday morning, but in good time before the crowds were out. Hilversum, 16th December 2007, 9.41 am (they did sleep long that morning!) / Nikon D 80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 150 mm / F 8, 1/40 ISO 800 I did not use a tripod, but stabilized the lense on the saddle of my bike.
