This old shed was part of my husband’s great grand parents property on the farm in Tumut. / I love the country feel of it and I can’t wait to get back there and take a shot of this in IR. We’ll be visiting just after Christmas and I’m already planning the shots I want to take…can’t wait.

Some mornings everywhere you look God has framed pieces of art… / those are the mornings when we take the time to see… / every morning , every night they are there! / this was a little slice of my day yesterday!... / and for the stillness speaks, this piece of ladn is up the hill from me, it is a couple hundred acres of pasturelan on a winding road…my soul is always full of peace when i come up the hill for it’s secret view every time! Shown as is. No post processing or colouring. The whole field was frosted over, and as the sun came up, this stalk just glowed against the white grass. I thought it beautiful.. Oct 2008

Torksey Castle is a wonderful old Tudor ruin. Dating from the 16th century it was the manor house of the Jermyn family. Little is now left except the grand facade, with it’s lofty towers, and aspect over the River Trent. There are very few alternate angles that look quite as good, so it was a case of taking the ‘classic’ view and trying to do it better! Luckily for me, the very heavy frost and low raking sunrise enhanced an already magical location.

Frost covered everything on this day, It was peaceful and relaxing to walk in the sun. I was having so much fun taking photographs that I lost track of time and was late collecting my wife from the gym… Oh well. Taken in Calderglen Country park, East Kilbride, Scotland. (Taken with Samsung L730)

Well, I’d like to say that fall is in the air but it’s more like winter. A heavy morning frost covered the landscape, including the tall grass. Everything, including the air, is cool and crisp.
