I’m really unsure what this Frigate Bird is doing, or why! I think (but I could be wrong) It could be a method of cooling down for them, as it was the wrong time of year for mating displays. But I am by no means a bird expert! It makes for an interesting subject though. Taken on the Isle of Genovesa, Galapagos Islands.

The former HMAS Diamantina is a River Class Frigate. It was built in Australia and served as an anti-submarine vessel in New Guinea and Solomon Island waters during the latter part of World War 2. The Diamantina now sits in the Dry Dock at South Brisbane, QLD Australia, under the care of the Queensland Maritime Museum.
