Great friends, great fun !!!!!!- the colors represent happiness. A natural portrait of friends having fun in the sun :]
This ladybug was scuttling across a leaf when it disappeared from sight. Holding the camera in one hand while flipping the leaf over to make its underside and the cleverly disappearing ladybug visible again, I managed to get this shot. It took some doing, but the results were okay. Moral of the story: inviting a partner to come along with you could simplify the challenge of macro photography.
Taken In Kasmier in the Mogul Gardens.. Love’s procession is moving; / Beauty is waving her banner; / Youth is sounding the trumpet of joy; / Disturb not my contrition, my blamer. / Let me walk, for the path is rich / With roses and mint, and the air / Is scented with cleanliness. Kahilil Gibran
The brother and sister recognized River from last fall and they both came to say “hello”. The “brand-new” fawn followed suit as her brother and sister seemed to know us and thought of us as “friends”. :) Before they circled my overjoyed dog and they all ran off together, they first make sure that they got their spring morning “family photo” taken. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park
This is actually the symbol for ‘friend’ and is on the bottom of my wooden wind chime. /
Taken in Summer 08’... late afternoon while lightly raining out all day long… Balmy though.. A handmade arch’d bridge made of thick wood with a babbleing brook underneath is surrounded by extremely lush greenery and is in my line of vision.. Never seems to matter which angle I come from, it never fails to captivate me.. I have been here before, many times and get excited as I approach closer… A unique space…. It is where a close friend of mine that I don’t get to see enough of… stops off at… He thinks about something here… He wonders if thier paths will cross this day.. Sure wish the moon was out.. So it is here… I guess I feel like I somehow connected in spirit and mind with him for only a moment when I pass thru this space, even though we have never shared this space at the same time… Would you consider that odd? lol..

High on windswept ridges in the Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest in eastern California’s White Mountains live the planet’s oldest known living organisms – the ancient Bristlecone Pines (Pinus longaeva). Some of these trees were already growing when the Egyptians built the pyramids over 4000 years ago. The oldest known Bristlecone Pine is “Methuselah”. This gnarled and twisted tree is about 4,800 years old – and still able to reproduce. But only a few bristlecones have been able to grow to such incredibly old ages, survived ultraviolet rays, extreme cold, wind, and aridity in this harsh environment between the Eastern Sierra Nevada and Death Valley in an elevation between 10,000 and 11,000 feet (3,048 and 3,354 meters) above sea level. These old trees, the oldest living things on earth, 2800 years older than Christ, are now strictly protected by law and guarded carefully. “Thank you for being a friend” Card / Laminated Print / Please note: RedBubble automatically re-sharpens and adds contrast to uploaded images for web display. ” ~ For My Friend Byron ~ 11” / / ~ In Loving Memory of your Mother ~ / / The long winter has passed, and it’s such a joy to see the forest come alive with new buds, and the Dogwoods in bloom. I find myself strolling along through the forest gazing at these blossoms as they brighten up the early spring sky. Native Dogwoods are small shrubs varying in size, and height that thrive under Arkansas hardwood forest. The blooms are approx 1 inch in diameter. Blooms in mid-May. / / If you would you like to ADD YOUR OWN WORDS to create a personal sentiment to this as a greeting card, please / Contact Me / I will make it personal from YOU, to YOUR friends. / / FEATURED IN SPRING BLOOMS 1 24 009

My Brothers 2 Staffies, Sui and Jet. Helping out with the building chores (well actually, making a mess, and the usual chewing of everything, and I mean everything!).. Took this shot during my visit to Shimla town(Himachal region of India) last month. Went there with my friend to visit his family. They were living in these type of wooden homes. I really love the simplicity of these homes.
Camera in hand, I’ve been out in the woods for early morning walks most days of late. Watching the sun rise and then heading into the forest and watching the gentle rays filtering through the trees … magic … :) Sometimes I encounter joggers, or cyclists, or as was the case this morning – folk taking their best friends for walks ;) / Witnessing those early morning moments is what’s given me balance for the longer than normal hours I’ve been working in the square mile of the city … contrast, that’s for sure :) / So I thought I’d share one or two shots and then saw that there are currently 55 free days on calendars here in the Bubble … – I think an Epping Forest Calendar might have to be created tonight! :) 26 September 2009 / Canon EOS 450D, f/22 @ 53 mm, 1/13, ISO 1600
