I have also used a variety of found objects, including lace and ribbons…and an especially beautiful gold paint for the wings which were underpainted first to created texture. On of my favourite paintings, my heart and soul went into this piece…two sweet little girls in darling dresses hanging out in the garden together….what could be nicer.

This image is the 1st in a series of 3….. My inspiration behind this are all the lovely wedding images that I see; full of hope, happiness and love, but as we all know the divorce rate is very high and unfortunately many of the beautiful and happy couples divorce… It makes me wonder how would these couples feel if they knew that a few years down the road and a couple of children later, their union would end in divorce. These are the emotions I have tried to capture and portray in my series. And I would like to add a huge thank you to my model and best friend who was also my inspiration as she too recently divorced but was still brave enough to get back into her beautiful wedding dress for this shoot.

Yes I know what you’re all thinking…It’s ANOTHER PET DOG!!!!! Don’t panic you arty farty types…it’s only up for a limited time whilst I make some cards for a friends present. Then it will be strictly back to black polo necks and matching berets. Ciao baby. Postscript (Wow I literally just uplaoded this to make cards for a friends birthday. I had no idea people would comment on it! I feel compelled to point out – as those who know me understand – my humour is very dry and ironic. Don’t take anything I say seriously! Pearls represent the tears of the moon and remind us that life may not be easy and we all struggle. The lotus represents strength through love. The daisies are for simplicity. The bindi is for spiritual insight. The red sky at night is a sailor’s delight…for a red sky at night indicates smooth seas on the morrow! HOPE / Hope still walks beside me on the road / Her gentle company eases the miles / And lightens the load a little. / On days of unwashed clothes and unkempt hair / She sometimes seems a little unprepared, / Yet mismatched shoes can still skip / And callused hands can still warm to the touch / Of love’s tender potential. / Some days her mind seems elsewhere / But when our eyes meet, / She is quick to smile, / And through her windows / The light burns brightly / For anyone who cares to share. / Hope is never pretty / But always beautiful, / She is a silhouette in an open doorway, / A soft touch as sleep dissolves / A memory that lingers in the folds of your heart. / She is the exhale of a sigh, / The softening of shoulders / To imagined caress, / The trickle of water at the source / Of a mighty river. / Hope never looks in the mirror, / Indeed, she looks beyond, / For she holds her own reflection / In a place I have yet to find. / Sometimes weary, / She falls behind, / Engulfed in the shadows of the past; / Sits down to rest in the settling dust. / A time-worn traveller, she fades from my view / As I continue on unaware. / Somewhere in the chill / I miss her hand in mine / And sit down by the roadside to wait. / In the stillness, / The road continues to pass me by / Regardless, / And if I close my eyes I can be / Wherever I wish to go and whomever / I choose to be, / Yet somehow the one I open my eyes to / Is me. / In these fragile precious moments / When quiet enters me and wraps my soul / In the solace of silence / And the road has lost its urgency, / I look up to find her standing there. / We hug / Old friends, / The holding hands, continue on our way. / Some days Hope takes her own path, / But most days, she still walks beside me. / She lives in me / And I live in Hope…

Drawn in 2007. Age 20. This here is my late best friend Morris, who I adored, loved and cherished. Sadly he passed away in 2007 so I drew him as I remembered him best… / As a beautiful, young and healthy kitten. Childhood can be difficult time for many of us and through a number of my recent writngs and drawings i’ve tried to capture my feelings as a child; feelings of emptiness and lonliness. But Morris was always there. He was always there to offer his warm comfort. He was there when no one else was… / He is the most pleasant memory of my childhood and i feel a little less whole without him. I miss him dearly… but he will always remain loved and never will he be forgotton. Bless his little paws. The original of this drawing belongs to a very dear friend of mine, who I miss very much. I hope he is well… Though I am confident he is looking after Morris, just as much as Morris is looking after him.

My new wolf friend seemed to like having his pictures taken – he stared “up close and personal” right into the lens. This spontaneous photo is one of my best friend who fell in love 6 months ago with a fantastic guy,....at last….,she went through hell and she can finaly love .The hic is that her boyfriend has brain tumor and take medication that’s going to affect his heart ,he is 25 years old.They want to have a kid ,i just hope that life will be good for them.They got engaged recently and Sonia asked me to be the photographe at her wedding ,I’m so happy. ‘Inspirational Series’ card by Karin Taylor Nancy, Patsy, Ellen and Red Dog is a mixed media production. I used ink, pastel, acrylic and charcoal on canvas textured paper. The original painting was just auctioned for charity recently. This work was also inspired by the _‘Legend of Red Dog aka The Pilbara Wanderer’, as is ‘Where is Red Dog’. Red Dog was an adventurous dog who seemed to belong to an entire community. / When his soulmate John died, Red Dog searched for him for the rest of his days, that’s loyalty for you! This painting depicts the time Red Dog’s search for John took him all the way from the dusty outback to Cottesloe Beach, with the girls from his hometown hot on his tail…... If you look closely you can see the tips of Red Dog’s ears way out past the breakers!
