The feeling you get when you are about to leave on a road trip during the summer time. Apprehension and excitment for what the adventure ahead may hold. Camping on the beach, surfing in boardies, relaxing with friends, bbq’s and beers.
this gang of Adelie penguins gave me a great opportunity for quite a series of entertaining photographs as they zoomed busily about their icy playground. This photo has become a symbol of connection and friendship among my own personal group of nearest and dearest friends.
This shot was taken in Copacabana in 2006, a little town in the north of Bolivia, situated on the bank of Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world at 3800 mts. / There was a big celebration in town that day and so much to see and discover. But I was so tired that I decided to sit down and rest for a while when those two men sat just in front of me. I took so many pictures of them but this one is my favorite. Click /

Taganga ( Sta Marta ), Colombia! I visited this little village near Santa Marta on the North Coast of Colombia a few weeks ago. People seemed to be really friendly and enjoying a simple life ! / In this quite and tranquil place I just found peace, enjoying sun and eating lot of coconut rice and fresh fish. / While eating in one of the many restaurant by the sea after a day on the beach, I noticed those two little boys trying to catch somehow a fish and everything they could !!!
The brother and sister recognized River from last fall and they both came to say “hello”. The “brand-new” fawn followed suit as her brother and sister seemed to know us and thought of us as “friends”. :) Before they circled my overjoyed dog and they all ran off together, they first make sure that they got their spring morning “family photo” taken. :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Algonquin Park
A dark night, in the city that never sleeps. Fog was creeping in, in that sneaky way that fog has. It was plucking at the legs of three friends, trying to trip them up. They were just trying to get to the next hot nightspot, where the fog would be man-made and the lights would glow eerily and the music would echo, only you couldn’t hear the echo because it was so loud.

This is the traditional bracelets the Bishnoi women still wear today. I love the simplicity of it, they are quite heavy, i tryed a couple myself. These days you can buy ‘fake’ aluminium ones in the shops, of bad quality and they cut into your legs when you wear them. Rajahstan, India

“I Make the Best of It“ Having a bad-hair day? Make the best of it… it can’t be as bad as this Emu with a grassy hairdo… / When I shot this at the Indianapolis Zoo, I was really pleased to see the Emu had such a large area to roam. The powerful, but friendly swamp dwellers on Titan, allowed themsleves to be modified by human explorers. Their biological bits were blended with robotic parts, to create an entirely new species. Jack and Jill of Space Group 3, were certainly enjoying their daily forays into the unknown. to be continued :) I was going to call this guy, “Doodlebug” because he started life as a pencil doodle, but then, Jake, one of my artistic students, suggested, Biobot and that sounded cool, so here he is.
