Just one of a series of images where I have been capturing the daily life of folk, in the back alley ways of Hua Hin. Often shooting through open doors or windows, there is a veritable maze of very narrow pathways and alleys which criss-cross the city. One of those occasions where I force myself out of my comfort zone and wander places I normally would not. See all the series here

This is inspired by my recent move. I have just moved to Brisbane, away from my family and friends in Newcastle. Although so far things are moving slowly to start with, I have enjoyed my time so far. Hopefully I can reach my goals soon :)

This is taken during a trekking program. We are having a tea in a small shop on the way. I like the way they sat, the position of black helmet and the mood. I was lucky to get this shot handheld. Camera: Canon powershot Pro1 / ISO 100 , 1/30 sec, f2.4 / did a little crop to remove the eye of my other friend on right.

They are real work horses in the true sense and the work of the women would be impossible without them. This woman has such a beautiful face and was delighted to have her photograph taken – even though we had no language in common we communicated anyway. Portrait taken in natural light.
