  • Almond in flower with one of nature’s hardest workers, the bee.

  • Megan and Dylan wait patiently for their dinner to be served portraiture

  • Cropped version of “We’re pretty cool”. The perfect card for the person you love to snuggle with (or would love to snuggle with). (Praktica LTL, Kodak BW400CN) Abstracts and Artsy Architecture Landscapes and Nature Street Tasmania

  • I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge – myth is more potent than history – dreams are more powerful than facts – hope always triumphs over experience – laughter is the cure for grief – love is stronger than death. / – Robert Fulghum, The Storyteller’s Creed The Untapped Source Store – Portfolio/Blog – deviantART Shop / “To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.”

  • My dog River and I drove for hours deep into Mont-Laurier before dawn. In the deep freezing snow, we waited, waited, and then waited some more for the sun to come up. Finally the sky turned blue and the cardinals came to our “photo appointment” as “scheduled”. :) One cannot say we (as in River, my dog, and I) are not dedicated and passionate about meeting our cardinals. :) I thought after all that waiting in the frozen snow, it is only fitting that I donate the proceeds on behalf of the beautiful cardinals to preserve nature, so we can all meet up with them again in the future! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada

  • We are quickly becoming friends. These weary, defensive, hostile beauties are allowing me to approach, within reason, their chosen spots of rest. They have seen me enough to like me, I guess ! It’s a bit rainy and these Elk bulls are happy as they get. I love when this happens. March 30, 2008

  • I thought these two rice paper butterflies looked like they were in conversation, enjoying each other’s company. That’s what triggered the idea for a “thanks for the hospitality” card. It seems so bright and cheerful, like all good friendships are.

  • The Great Blue Skimmer Dragonfly is large, approachable, and beautiful. The female blue skimmers are brown in color and extremely friendly. I’ve experienced delightful encounters with them when they’ve landed on my hand and rested their contentedly. I added the mosaic filter to the background of this image in hopes of making the dragonfly stand out more three-dimensionally.

  • So many beautiful and wonderful friends and not enough time in the day to say how much each of you have touched my heart in your very own unique ways ! I love you ! HUGS! / Bonita ©2008 BMoore Photography & Design…..................................... / www.bamagirl38.com All Rights Reserved

  • After making a few rounds of flight in the city suburbs, Ophelia decided to rest her wings. She found a balcony with little pots of sweet pink flowers and as usual started a long conversation with them that lasted late after midnight. It seemed that Ophelia liked befriending flowers than owls. What a peculiar owl! You can view and buy my other “Ophelia’s Pink Friends” creations at my Zazzle Gallery: / /

  • These two were enjoying this flower together.

  • I created a video today with some of my favourite photographs. It includes a beautiful mele by Keali’i Reichel. / You may view it if you like on my YouTube site / Ourjrny YouTube E Ala ‘E Please let me know what you think of it. Self Portrait / Here I am on the western slopes of Ulupalakua / Maui Hawai’i / The elevation here is, I’m guessing, about 4000 feet above sea level. That reflection of light below is sunlight reflecting off the ocean. That is Wailea, Kihei and Ma’alaea Bay down below on the coast. My dearest friend Suzane and I parked her car about 2 miles away near Keokea and walked up along a narrow gravel and cinder road to the meadow at this point where we watched the sunset together on a beautiful peaceful evening as the rains and mists drifted across the valley below. I set up my camera on the tripod and after adjusting the settings for low light, walked over and rested on my knees in the tall damp grasses. The only sound I heard was the soft breeze in my hair. I do hope you enjoy this. / 03 June 2009 Aloha kakou, this is dedicated for my beloved children Cherilyn, Ashlee and David “Since the birth of time’s beginning, have you sought the reason of your existence in this world. And I would say unto you, that out of your deepest longing were you brought forth as the dewdrops upon the dawn. It was but yesterday that you were an echo within your Father’s ear, a twinkling smile within your Mother’s eye. And it was you that they heard calling upon the tender breath of Love’s holy thought; Yearning to come through the misty veil of Eternity with the voice of God upon your newborn lips.” ~ Echoes of the Soul by ‘Daniel’ I love you my darling children! • One spring day a neighborhood cat walked up and deposited a fledgling baby bird, alive and healthy, at my doorstep. The little bird didn’t appear to be injured by the cat, on the contrary, it seemed to me that perhaps the cat rescued the fledgling and brought it to me to take care of. With apprehension I took the job, and what an experience it was. This little bird was quite a character. Everyday I would take him outside on my finger and teach him to hunt for bugs and let him fly around in the trees where he would annoy the local robins. In late summer he found a flock of his own kind and migrated south in the fall. The original painting is in acrylic on16’‘x20’’ canvas. / © copyright Leslie Hengen, all rights reserved.

  • Camera in hand, I’ve been out in the woods for early morning walks most days of late. Watching the sun rise and then heading into the forest and watching the gentle rays filtering through the trees … magic … :) Sometimes I encounter joggers, or cyclists, or as was the case this morning – folk taking their best friends for walks ;) / Witnessing those early morning moments is what’s given me balance for the longer than normal hours I’ve been working in the square mile of the city … contrast, that’s for sure :) / So I thought I’d share one or two shots and then saw that there are currently 55 free days on calendars here in the Bubble … – I think an Epping Forest Calendar might have to be created tonight! :) 26 September 2009 / Canon EOS 450D, f/22 @ 53 mm, 1/13, ISO 1600
