One of my “bathroom mirror” self portraits. Keeps me occupied on foggy nights! : )
What’s real: Me and most of the costume. / What’s not: The wig, the ship and of course, the background. I am a history fanatic and have read many times that statement was erroneously attributed to her. Regardless, it makes good theater.
feeling a bit 80s. yes sir! /
French BullDog French Bulldogs are one of my favourite breads of dog, simply because of funny look they have on their face. When I was in Switzerland a few years ago I remember sitting having dinner at an up-market restaurant. I could heard this snotty labored breathing nearby. I turned around to see what it was and there were these two french bulldogs sitting upright at the next dinner table staring over at me and my food. I will never forget their comical and stark expressions.
Enjoy! _
Finally i managed to get them both playing! (Thanks to a lot of members here who came with the idea of a “rat-band”. )Now i have to figure out a name, if someone has an original name ,please let me know :) Thanks, Ellen.
I live in a village called Merville near Toulouse, the fourth biggest city in France. When you come from Toulouse, you have to go that road. Reaching the end of this wooden tunnel takes you to Merville’s Castle, shyly hidden in its green grounds… Clic on photo below

This was taken on a walk through the back streets of Nimes in France. It had so much atmosphere, you could picture horse drawn carriages and crinoline dressed ladies Featured in Full Frontal Facades Group 7/4/09

Pyrénées… Une robe d’aube découpe en dentelles fines / les vagues incertitudes d’horizons voilés… It’s amazing how we can be caught by something ! / Someone is caught by a song from his kinderness, someone with an house like my grandfather’s farm,... We are like trees, with strong or thin roots, and wherever you are, you think about it… / In my case, my roots are high in the sky and deep in the Earth, acting in an neverending ballet, playing with clouds like still waves… / My mountains are Pyrénées… / And I went to his summit to embrace with my sight this wonderful ocean !

Winner of the Surreal Phare Design Competition ~ Sadly now forgotten.. Yes its French, it ended up on a French beach in the Languedoc-Roussillon area, / the Government lost its nerve at the last moment and tried to hide it in the most remote part of France.. These days its quite a headache for the local council, they are sick of cleaning the linen covering and washing off the graffiti..
part of a ttv (through the viewfinder) series Theory: / TTV (Through The Viewfinder) photography is when you use an old medium format camera and a digital camera. / These old medium format twin reflex cameras have large viewfinders. Firstly you compose your image using the medium format camera (in my case i have used a mamiya c33) then you actually take the picture using a digital camera (here i use my pentax K10) of what is in the viewfinder of the old camera.

This shot was taken of the window of the original Black Springs Bakery building in Beechworth, Victoria, Australia. It has a very french provincial feel to it, though. This was taken in autumn with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera and a 18-55mm lens. This was featured in the Canon DSLR Group, Rural Around the Globe group, Windows and Doors Group, Falling Leaves group and the Nature’s Reclamation Group.
