My dog River and I drove for hours deep into Mont-Laurier before dawn. In the deep freezing snow, we waited, waited, and then waited some more for the sun to come up. Finally the sky turned blue and the cardinals came to our “photo appointment” as “scheduled”. :) One cannot say we (as in River, my dog, and I) are not dedicated and passionate about meeting our cardinals. :) I thought after all that waiting in the frozen snow, it is only fitting that I donate the proceeds on behalf of the beautiful cardinals to preserve nature, so we can all meet up with them again in the future! :) Donation to charity / 50% of the proceeds of the sale of this image will be donated to Nature Canada

Our white boxer Bella running full speed towards me, love how her ears are flapping here
A hazelnut exploding while being cracked open. This shot was tricky to get. I had to crack the nut and trip the shutter at the same time. It took a few tries until I got it at the right time. I had a good laugh when I found nut fragments on my camera lens after this shot. MY BUBBLESITE

This was a great wedding! It was a 2-day wedding in Laos and the bride and groom each had 8 outfits to put on throughout those 48 hours. / This image wasn’t Photoshopped at all. Instead, I set my camera to shutter-priority (at 1/30th of a second), turned on my 580EX flash (set to E-TTL) and set my 17-40mm lens to 17mm at f4. As I fired the shot I also zoomed my lens all the way to 40mm. The flash (set to first-curtain sync) froze my subject, while the slow shutter speed, combined with the zooming motion of my lens, allowed the ambient light to show up as streaks.
Rain Drops as they were falling on my windshield…..they had quite the effect I thought! Olympus E-520 / May 09’ Best Viewed Larger
It was a strange day with no wind, extreme humidity, thick sticky air, you couldn’t breath and sunset came on a Pantone Nr. E4C67E. It is not visible but the small port of Faliro, Athens, is very very close; the small sailing boats were actually racing but couldn’t move, they were completely motionless. / As most of my pictures, this one is not processed; it may be shot slightly underexposed, something I do on purpose most of the times because I prefer the “dark side” of the information! Date: December 17th, 2006 / Camera: Nikon D200 / Lens: Nikkor VR 18-200 / Focal Length: 170mm / 1/125, F/11, ISO 100, WB auto / Manual mode, Hand held
