Taken in the Village of Valdemossa where Michael Douglas had his Costa Nord project and where he has a house somewhere up in the hills. Valdemossa is famous for being the winter retreat of George Sands and Frederik Chopin where the former wrote a book about how much she hated the place an its inhabitants. Nowadays the Mallorcans sell thousands of copies of this book to tourists. Mallorca is a great place for weddings and it’s this type of shot that we sometimes use as part of the album setting the story of the wedding in motion.

The tribute to a gorgeous Basset Hound (Fred) who was my wonderful companion for 9 years. / pix © www.shhevaun.com / 0419363057 All Rights Reserved 2006 Untouched work shot on Nikon D60 (a cheap film SLR) with two studio lights I have a studio in New Farm Brisbane and love shhooting Dogs and their owners! Initially this image was to pay homage to the shot of the bassett with his ears blowing in front of a fan… This shot captured more of Fred’s personality – he liked the breeze but it wasnt letting it move him or those huge heavy ears (btw he weighed 30kgs!)

Lemure : Unique creatures native to the island of Madagascar, lemurs attract our attention with their mysterious nature and bright, round eyes. With a name derived from the Latin word for “ghost,” lemurs are a link to ancient primates and are known as prosimians (“before monkeys”). Lemurs are a link to our evolutionary past, and lemur enthusiasts are working to ensure that they also have a bright future. / Original acrylic on canvas

Designer of famous Central Park in NYC, Olmsted was given an entire series of parks to design in Louisville, Kentucky. Louisville’s park system was the last designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and one of only five such systems across the country. Known nationally as the defining park system of his career, it stands today as one of his best-preserved works, reflecting the genius of Olmsted’s vision. In all, Olmsted and his successor firm developed plans for 18 parks and 6 parkways that today comprise Louisville’s historic park system. http://www.olmstedparks.org/
