Ratbag Fred was in quite a mood jumping around and did this leap up to Sally’s lips. At least he was a bit gentler than he was with some of his earlier antics… He’s a very little dog and it’s a long way up but he’s been practising and finally got there! Note Frank coming up to check that all is well. My mob always up to something!

Sally and her mate Fred enjoying the sunshine. All proceeds from the sale of this work donated to Wildlife Appeal. My horse and dog are great friends and the horse is very careful not to hurt Fred. Sally is the only horse Fred has even known and he does things with her that most horses wouldn’t tolerate. She accepts it all with grace and love.

Keeping warm was a challenge at this year’s Christmas parade. The tribute to a gorgeous Basset Hound (Fred) who was my wonderful companion for 9 years. / pix © www.shhevaun.com / 0419363057 All Rights Reserved 2006 Untouched work shot on Nikon D60 (a cheap film SLR) with two studio lights I have a studio in New Farm Brisbane and love shhooting Dogs and their owners! Initially this image was to pay homage to the shot of the bassett with his ears blowing in front of a fan… This shot captured more of Fred’s personality – he liked the breeze but it wasnt letting it move him or those huge heavy ears (btw he weighed 30kgs!)
