Speckled pony foal – I believed it was a Shetland pony, as it was with its mother at the time and she looked like a Shetland pony. However, the Shetland Pony experts in the UK have emailed me to tell me there is no such thing as spotted Shetlands so there we are! ;o) All I know is I just wanted to pick up the cute critter and take him home with me. New Forest, Hampshire, England.

And here she is… a gorgeous Monarch butterfly graced me with her presence and honoured the zinnia patch for a while this evening. I love the many freckles.. : ) She flew away before I could get a full open-wing shot. I will keep trying, though! LavenderMoon~
