The red windmill as it appears at night, commercialised yet eerily warm
Beautiful Paris with all its wonderful icons painted in a stylish, funky colorful composition. The Gesher Theatre in Tel Aviv Israel producing Design For Living by Noel Coward used the picture of my painting as part of their set in one of the scenes in their play.
Taken with a Minolta 5xi on Fuji film Shot in 2000
Paris has to be my favourite city for people watching, there are so many styles, fashions and personalities found on the many streets of Paris, it was a joy to wander around and take it all in. I found this gentleman enjoying a baguette on the sidewalk (pavement or footpath depending on where you are from). Something about him really captured my interested so I fired of a few shots. When I got back, something was missing from the original scene and I wasn’t sure exactly what so I’ve played around extensively with layers to build up the affect you see, some doding and burning, motion blur and playing with the curves and levels. Overall I’m very happy with the end result which I think adds something the original was missing.
Château de Chenonceau near the French village of Chenonceaux in the Loire Valley, is considered to be a true fairyland caste with its distinctive turrets, rooftops and the unique tower next t the castle. This photograph of one of the hallway of the building portrays a mysterious elegance that engulfs the building today. The cathedral loomed suddenly out of the fog when we visited Beauvais, like a ghost of the past.

This “twisted” shot was taken at Ventenac, France along the Canal du Midi using my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1. Once I saw it on screen, I thought the reflection looked so good, it deserved to be flipped.

This is the second shot in my Notre Dame series. This time, the front of the incredibly detailed cathedral, found in Paris, capital city of France. Citadel shows the rear of the building. This is another piece that basically created itself. I wanted a black and white, textured finish, the piece had other ideas and went for something more mystical and magical. Texture used from ‘struckdumb’ free use stock, on www.deviantart.com. Layered texture seven times, altered hue and colour levels on each to be different shades and colours. Desaturated tones in each layer, blended and colour altered further. Canon SX100IS MCN: C8RW9-8BQUA-MAFP9 More photography:
