  • Château de Chenonceau near the French village of Chenonceaux in the Loire Valley, is considered to be a true fairyland caste with its distinctive turrets, rooftops and the unique tower next t the castle. This specific view of the château is what makes it one of my favorite châteaus. • sunset at la Passagère, , Brittany, France / DONATION OF ALL PROCEEDS FROM CARDS SALES!!!!! / For a very worthy cause, “Beacon College” in Soroti, Uganda all sales proceeds will be donated to PILGRIM-UGANDA. Pilgrim provides food, medicine and trauma counseling to refugees of Uganda’s decades-long civil war who live in refugee camps in the northeastern region of Uganda. In 2006 they started Beacon College to bring hope, healing and secondary education to refugee children. Beacon College provides education to 470 children ages 13-21. Before coming to the school, all the children lived in refugee camps lacking basic necessities. Many of the students are former abductees – girls having been put into rape camps and boys either used as “beasts of burden” or forced to be child soldiers. Most of these children are orphans. Your purchase will be thoroughly utilized toward the assistance of the above mentioned children, for which I can’t thank you enough. Le Chaboussant is one River that starts at a source at a trickle it travels through the valley at the bottom of our hamlet it goes through the town (my parents old house had the river running through their garden) and basically circles our whole town. • sitting on the Charente river in Verteuil is this amazing privately owned chateau, set in the Vienne Department Poitou Charente This Medieval château, in a triangular shape, dominates the Charente River and the picturesque village of Verteuil. Belonging to the La Rochefoucauld family for over 1000 years, Verteuil is just as fascinating for its architectural riches as for the history of its famous owners. Their celebrated and illustrious guests included Emperor Charles V of Spain, King Henri II, Queen Catherine de Medici and Queen Margot, Louis XIII, Anne d’Autriche and Marie de Medici! Taken on a very cloudy and drizzly saturday afternoon with very poor lighting, on my Pentax optio M50

  • A 4 Minute Long Exposure taken at sunrise from the Seine River overlooking some tower.

  • Dramatically perched over the Lot River… is how most descriptions of this town begin. As one of “Les Plus Beaux Villages de France”, St. Cirq Lapopie is sure to please. If you visit, save time for a leasurely meal with a little wine from nearby Chateau Eugénie or possibly a bike ride along the Lot River.
