Picture taken in summer 2007 at my friend Patty-Lou’s summer house who was empty as she was fighting a breast cancer. Now she’s done with chemo and the tumor has been totally removed. She will be back this summer and this is the most fantastic news I ever heard. This work is dedicated to her, her husband and their two daughters.

The timber-framed House…

taken in the beautiful picturesque town of Branttôme (Périgord Vert in the Dordogné SW France) this is our first visit and won’t be the last, the town is humming with activity and has so many beautiful houses, a stunning and very old Abbaye and a wonderful river, the town is an island. Featured in Masters of the Scenic 31st August ‘09 Canon G10 / I have tidied this image by removing the ariels from the rooftops and used a “glamour filter”.

The city centre of Troyes is shaped like the cork of a Champagne bottle. / It has narrow streets lined with half-timbered, now crooked, (wooden-frame) houses. The Order of The Knights of the Templar was founded in Paynes, 15 km away. Joan of Arc and at the time, Dauphin Charles (future King Charles VII) entered the City of Troyes riding side by side.
