  • Stormy Church – Thank you to RichieDean who helped me with the sky on this and a few other bits and pieces – You are great Richie! /

  • We were vacationing in Iran and there were these mausoleums and tombs in tribute to great poets, architecture reminiscent of old Islam and gorgeous tiles and organic paintings on the walls. This shot was almost unintentional, I noticed the light and the shadows and just took the shot, this one shot. I didn’t even look at it on the digital screen of my camera, there was so much beauty around me I didn’t want to waste time, I didn’t want to miss anything. I didn’t see this shot again till I uploaded the pictures onto my laptop. This picture is a reminder of the beauty of Iran.

  • D.I.Y. is one of ‘those’ skill sets. Either you can indeed do it yourself or you best get someone else to do it! MissT has always struggled with the practical self help stuff, just looking at a car engine results in the breaking a fingernail and getting covered in oil. Her one foray into carpentry turned into an voyage of discovery as she searched for a right angle and found only wrong angles and blisters. But our girl is plucky and never one to give up. Today she’s going to hang this lovely picture she bougth from RedBubble. I have written this tutorial more for the new bubblers that have recently joined. But if you have been around the site for awhile and still haven’t yet attempted to put a link in your profile, image description, or bubblemail, this should help. FOR THE COMPUTER SAAVY: Put quotation marks around the words you want to be the link. Then type a colon. Copy and paste the url address for the page, image, etc. that you want to link to. No spaces anywhere in the code. BEGINNER STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS: I would suggest printing these out to have next to the keyboard. It will be easier than switching back and forth to this screen. -Type the words you want to be the link: Bubblesite for Patricia -Put quotation marks around the words: “Bubblesite for Patricia” -Add a colon at the end: “Bubblesite for Patricia” : -Then add the url address for the page/photo you want to link to: http://patmonty.redbubble.com/ -It should look like this (without the space): “Bubblesite for Patricia”: http://patmonty.redbubble.com/ -I put a space after the colon so the html code would be visible in this journal. Take out the space and waa-laa! It becomes a link! Bubblesite for Patricia NOTE: In a bubblemail, it becomes a link after it is sent. In a comment, it becomes a link after the comment is added. In a journal or profile description, the clickable link is only seen in the public view. If you have problems or questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know. • While we were roadtripping through New England one of our first stops was in Essex, Connecticut. The season was fall and our intention was to take in the wonders of nature, enjoy the fall foilage. In Essex we bought tickets for the Essex Steam Train and Riverboat. When we got to the ticket counter it turned out that the train had been reserved for a private party and not open to the public on that day but since it was just the two of us ( my husband and I) they said they would give us a private car. If you still haven’t figured it out well the private car looked like what you see above. It had this antique feel about it, reminded me of a time when these trains were the means of tranportation, nothing like the trains we have today. And then every once in a while the steam train would let out a tut. It was enchanting. The blue of the chairs so cool, so lush, the sun streaming in. A perfect stop on what turned into a perfect trip. / Sitting the old Fashioned Way
