I have been waiting for this kind of shot for a long time. The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. Same view everyday. Wish they’d point me somewhere interesting. I mean… how hard would it be to leave my frame pointed at some wonder of the world? But no.. I have to spend my life looking at the kitchen. I rarely bother to look out now. Hardly seems worth the effort.

Ever get the feeling that everyone’s staring at you when you get on that bus to work every morning? Well, I did (before I shed the shackles of the day job and became a freelancer at least!) and that’s what inspired this painting – commuters on the top deck, always curious to see who’s entering their domain.

This child watched through a broken window as we worked inside. It’s times like this when the natural, uncontrived symbolism of circumstance just presents itself to you and all you have to do is click. There was not pretence, no staging, no crap. Just reality. It still engages me now. Look at his eyes. What is he thinking? He’s aching. He is full on aching. How can I help them more, how can I help them more, how can I help them more… Please give if you can or pass it on to someone else. That’s giving too. All proceeds to charity. Lets begin the story here….. / I bought this tulip in the grocery store…...It was several of them…I did that in 2006 in Florida..Well I decide i will photograph it as it was so unusualy FLUFFY….. / After that i said Wow…Then i went into the photoshop and exegerated a bit…But that wasnt enough…..i coontiniue to work on in the MYSTIC LIGHTING…... Louisville, Kentucky USA 21 April 2008 10:06 PM EST This shot was NOT easy due to another photographer trying to take this same night shot using a flash. From this vantage point, the city is one mile away. He ruined 5 of my long exposures with his flash. Finally, I politely ask him to please let me get one good shot. / MCN: C30-NP3U-4430
