The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. Most know of Pakistan as a third world fanatical Muslim country full of terrorists. I have lived in Pakistan, my parents were born and raised there and though it has its many faults it also has its many beauties, its many treasures and many things that I love and cherish. At Work is a picture of my maid, Sakina in her small and modest home where I captured her hands as she used two rocks to grind herbs and spices to make that nights meal. This is a method still used in homes where a mechanical grinder is a luxury and not a necessity. According to Sakina and her mother, herbs ground on a rock maintain the rich flavors that are often lost by all our machines.

I have written this tutorial more for the new bubblers that have recently joined. But if you have been around the site for awhile and still haven’t yet attempted to put a link in your profile, image description, or bubblemail, this should help. FOR THE COMPUTER SAAVY: Put quotation marks around the words you want to be the link. Then type a colon. Copy and paste the url address for the page, image, etc. that you want to link to. No spaces anywhere in the code. BEGINNER STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS: I would suggest printing these out to have next to the keyboard. It will be easier than switching back and forth to this screen. -Type the words you want to be the link: Bubblesite for Patricia -Put quotation marks around the words: “Bubblesite for Patricia” -Add a colon at the end: “Bubblesite for Patricia” : -Then add the url address for the page/photo you want to link to: http://patmonty.redbubble.com/ -It should look like this (without the space): “Bubblesite for Patricia”: http://patmonty.redbubble.com/ -I put a space after the colon so the html code would be visible in this journal. Take out the space and waa-laa! It becomes a link! Bubblesite for Patricia NOTE: In a bubblemail, it becomes a link after it is sent. In a comment, it becomes a link after the comment is added. Meg had fun posing, and Nanna had fun with the processing! Created with two photos and a few layers. Extracted the background from the legs, desaturated the colours, overlaid a photo of a texture and blended the background image through. I dragged this little table into the water at Shorncliffe and sat an old picture frame on it as a storm came across the bay at dawn. / I took an 80 sec bulb exposure @ f16 and when I processed it I put the picture ‘into’ the frame and then again into the smaller frame within that etc… /
