The storms were fierce with a ton of rain last night. I decided to take of work and spend the day at the falls near my house. I must have snapped 200 pictures today. What a great day!! I found a new toy its my infrared lens. We were vacationing in Iran and there were these mausoleums and tombs in tribute to great poets, architecture reminiscent of old Islam and gorgeous tiles and organic paintings on the walls. This shot was almost unintentional, I noticed the light and the shadows and just took the shot, this one shot. I didn’t even look at it on the digital screen of my camera, there was so much beauty around me I didn’t want to waste time, I didn’t want to miss anything. I didn’t see this shot again till I uploaded the pictures onto my laptop. This picture is a reminder of the beauty of Iran.

We all see the raindrops on our windows, we all see them glitter in the light. Rain is depressing to some, it is cleansing to me. Sure I don’t want to be standing out in the cold pouring rain, put watching it, smelling it, curled up with a hot cup of coffee listening to its beat relaxes my. Just writing about it, imagining it now is soothing me. Its a dark night and I admire the drops of water on my kitchen window, they are especially magnificent with the light of the lampost illuminating them. I have to pull my self away to get my camera. Its just one of those simple pleasure we see and overlook so often. Never to be overlooked again.
