At first her Nana said no, but on Christmas Eve Nana could not resist journeying back to the little shop for the doll.. Susan had wanted it ever so badly. And now the doll it sits under the tree waiting for Christmas morning…

One more of this series and I will move on to other subjects. This one seemed to retain some warmth and an old time sepia feel without actually using that filter. Thank you all for looking at so many of what seemingly is the same shot, but are not. : )

This is a part of a Palm tree the name I do not know I am not very good at remembering some things my fibro causes my brain to go a bit foggy sometimes, anyways this is a close up of the part when they cut the frongs off this is sometimes what is left behind, / I enhanced the contrast and saturation to bring it’s beauty out Ft Myers Florida

My cousin’s ranch is on the Rocky Mountain Front, west of Dupuyer, Mt, near Swift Dam. It’s quite a drive to the ranch from our house, so most of the time, once we get there, we stay overnight. Directly behind her house, is a trail head into the Bob Marshall Wilderness. There are a lot of choke cherry bushes around the house, and the bears are there eating the berries. I decided it was worth taking the chance of meeting a bear, to climb the trail behind the house and see what I could find at the top of the cliff to photograph. The trail makes a few switch backs, and it’s a steep climb. I got up before the sun came up, so I’d be on top to see the sun rise. I walked along the trail looking for a shot, when I saw the branches of this dead pine tree forming a circle. I sat down and waited…and waited….and waited… At this exact moment, I framed the sun! :) I was wildly excited and my early morning hike up the trail was worth it!

It’s Winter in Australia, which means the Wattle is beginning to bloom. In my area we’ll soon be surrounded by a sea of bouncing little balls of yellow…... Did you know : / - Wattle is Australia’s official floral emblem, having adorned our Coat Of Arms since 1912. / - there are around 950 different species of Wattle….. which is why I have no clue as to which one this is! / - On 1 September 1910 the Sydney Morning Herald stated: / “To many Australians the wattle stands for home, country, kindred, sunshine and love; every instinct that the heart most deeply enshrines.”........ nice :) [canon 1000D, canon scanner for texture, PS watercolour] WINNER – Wattle challenge – October 2009
