After watching him for a while and trying to decide / what to do with him, I thought why not take a photo. I / scooped him up into a plastic container and set it under a / downlight on my kitchen bench which produced these / reflections. I’m in Florida while my husband is attending a conference. I take this free time as quality time with my camera. Our hotel consists of two buildings, each standing swimming pools and tennis courts apart. I start by standing in my balcony and taking a picture of the second hotel building, I get a close up making the picture abstract and tilt the camera a bit to create interest. It’s one of those simple shots, one of those obvious shots that people simply overlook. This is also one of my favorite type of photographs, I love the abstraction. /

This is Bassenthwaite Lake in Cumbria. Taken after several days of rain and floods, which has raised the lake levels to flood the shoreline. This is a rare moment of reflection on this lake, especially this late in the morning. The winter sun almost made this bush look on fire Shot in the Lake District
