this is a fractal with one of my swan photo’s that I took .. this took me a few days because Its so busy now with all the newborn kittens at the Humane Society and sooo many of them ..I really wish people would get their cats neutered so there wouldn’t be so many homeless kittys and end up in the shelter having more and more kittens …. and sweet as kittens are … if people dont adopt them ...they have a sad existence in a cage for a very long time All money that I make from sales from Red Bubble will go to the / TorontoHumaneSociety

Something a little minimal….. I love a minimalist abstract or fractal, there’s just something about them. And you just don’t see all that many minimalistic fractals. To me, fractals don’t always have to be a wild explosion of design and color, there’s a place for the subtle too. I love both ends of the spectrum,,, the fractals that shout & the fractals that whisper. As for this one, I tried to incorporate the negative space as part of the image itself, & not have it just hang there as a lifeless piece of the background. White can be even more unforgiving than black so I gave it a wash of color to soften it & bring it into the image even more. All critiques are more than welcome ! I’d definitely like to know how I can improve on this. You may have to look full screen to see the lines a little bit better, or maybe not. Depending on your screen, monitor & eyesight I guess ! ;-) Created with Apophysis. Lauren

There seem to be magic days once in a while, with some rare quality of light that hold a body spellbound: In sub-zero weather there will be a burst of unbelievable color when the mountain turns a deep purple, a thing it refuses to do in summer. Then comes the hard part: how to plan a picture so as to give to others what has happened to you. To render in paint an experience, to suggest the sense of light and color, air and space, there is no such thing as sitting down outside and trying to make a “portrait” of it.
