  • yup i know I haven’t uploaded anything “serious” for a while, so here comes a new work in progress. have to do some minor change before the final version, but so far I’m quite satisfied with what I got (or should I be worried about its being too “orange”?!). comments are much appreciated. ;) Update: / / Finally i set up a shop to sell my own prints! in my shop you can get signed, limited edition of prints, by limited I mean, well, really limited! :)

  • …How do ideas come? What a question! If they come of their own accord, they are apt to arrive at the most unexpected time and place. For the most part the place is out of doors, for up in this northern wilderness when nature puts on a show it is an inspiring one. There seem to be magic days once in a while, with some rare quality of light that hold a body spellbound: In sub-zero weather there will be a burst of unbelievable color when the mountain turns a deep purple, a thing it refuses to do in summer. Then comes the hard part: how to plan a picture so as to give to others what has happened to you. To render in paint an experience, to suggest the sense of light and color, air and space, there is no such thing as sitting down outside and trying to make a “portrait” of it. It lasts for only a minute, for one thing, and it isn’t an inspiration that can be copied on the spot…. / - Maxfield Parrish Posterlounge Store – Portfolio/Blog – deviantART Shop / “To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong.”

  • This reminded me of a pattern-colors you might find on a blanket loomed in old world Native American Indian fashion. Indian Art / If you have ever seen Indian art, then you know how detailed a beautiful the art is. Art has a very important place in the Indian culture. Indian art has been used as form of expression for hundreds and maybe even thousands of years. This type of art was used as a symbol for things such as a bear, walrus, eagle or people. / They used artwork materials from rocks and other materials that could be weaved. Weaving was a very popular form of Indian Art. Reeds and cornhusks were woven together to create detailed baskets. By using dye made from vegetables and fruits, the material would be dyed to make beautiful patterns. Women would spend hours weaving threads together to make the detailed blankets. The threads woven together for the blankets make a beautiful colorful rainbow of patterns and designs. The Navajo tribe is very well known for their hand woven blankets.
