Ingredients: a strong lamp outside which attracts insects, insects of course and a camera on a monopod. I took this 4 second exposure shot to reveal the trails of the insects. In fact it is sort of a 4 second movie in one shot. Use tripod for better results. / Enjoy. Have a look at my other photos. I’m kind of fascinated with how many different colours the colourless medium of water can take on. These four pictures were taken around Wilsons Promontory in Victoria, Australia. There are four essences in the universe these are Fire, Water, Earth and Air. Starhawk eloquently wrote in a Samhain poem: When we invoke the elements of Air, Fire, Water, and Earth, / We are saying we know what is necessary to sustain life / And we pledge ourselves to care for it and preserve it… Acrylics, pigment and enamel

Anyone who keeps the ability to see beauty never grows old. Franz Kafka (1883-1924)
Finished. As I said in step eight, I had some issues with keeping track of the time, as someone showed up, someone called, etc. so there were interruptions. But, I was all the way done at some point before, but near, 12:42 pm, even with all the interruptions. I used an alchemy treatment once, on step 8. I decided Step Six was more than enough to prove the point, since someone said it was beautiful. Or was that step five? I think it was six, though. This has been fun, but, it gets tiring to stop and save and upload, etc. Hope you enjoyed it!
OK – the story goes - I desperately wanted to paint a new mandala (the one I’m doing right now) but I had two canvasses sitting there blank. So I told myself I had to finish both of them before I could start on the big medicine wheel mandala… And next thing I know, there are two celtic crosses emerging in tandem from the canvas, with seals and otters playing in the mandala centre. The circle contains and is undending, the cross both reaches out and marks a specific, finite point at the centre. With mine, the circles represent the moon and the cross, the sun. The cross reaches out to the four directions, the four corners of the earth. The vertical and the horizontal come together in the joining of forces – Heaven and Earth… The seals symbolize imagination, creativity, paying attention to the inner voice, protection, dreaming, love, connection to the deep feelings and rhythms. They are our connection to the great mother ocean. In acrylic on canvas with jewelled and metallic overlays… The original is for sale. Please note full copyright applies. Imagine there’s no Heaven / It’s easy if you try / No hell below us / Above us only sky / Imagine all the people / Living for today Imagine there’s no countries / It isn’t hard to do / Nothing to kill or die for / And no religion too / Imagine all the people / Living life in peace…................ The Brinegar Cabin is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. This cabin was originally settled by Martin Brinegar in 1885. His wife, Caroline, brought along her mother’s four-poster weaving loom, which is still located on the site. The Brinegars occupied the cabin until 1935 when the land was purchased for construction of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin was preserved, along with Mrs. Brinegar’s 100+ year old loom which is used for craft and weaving demonstrations during the summer months. Guided nature walks and discussions, led by park rangers, are also available. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Please don’t copy or download this image. This trail was closed due to snow about a mile from Glacier Point, and a couple days after I took this shot, it was closed completely due to a recent snow fall. The trail was new to us and we found this rocky point in which there was no end of a view of the valley.
