And what a beautiful state of the art facility it is. As the sunrises, the traditional space-age classic moghul architecture compliments the towering megatropolis skyline of the vast and beautiful Lahore Skycity. This is one of Earth’s most beautiful cities and if I had to choose personally what could be one of the best places for the new headquarters buildings I would also gladly choose Lahore Skycity. -
Who’s says women are not equal may as well join the dark dOveside. These Hijabi Heroines might just surprise us by saving the planet from all out avain aniallation by putting the dOvemaster in his place. The bigger they are the harder they fall.
Wishing you a friendly salaam alaikum from 22,000’ above the cloud tops of Peshawar!
Zabber Dast!, noting like pakistani craftsmanship…...........way ahead of anyone’s time.
2nd Image… One of my Best Friends is Pregnant and so I was Shocked about that sort of news… Just isn’t something you expect a Friend to say to you out of the blue… I have always respected Women and the Gift they possess for Creation of Life… So its been on my Mind for the last few days and due to lack of inspiration the past week or so for new art work I decided to Alter a few of my older Works that would work well with Creation of Life and a Womans Form, Body…. and to try and celebrate that in my own way… I know the idea behind the images are not new and a Popular example of something like My images is that of “2001: A Space Odyssey” but that Image has always been in my mind ever since I first saw the Movie god knows how long ago… so is about time and I think is the right time since my Friends news that I make a few of my own… Will try and think about a new image from scratch with this idea in mind… This is the 2nd Image I have made on this idea…
SURF RESCUE by karin taylor / ink pastel acrylic and charcoal on canvas textured paper / the original aussie lifesaver chick on patrol at her local beach…swim between the flags folks..and right in front of the surf livesavers zincy noses….. My lifesaver chic sports a white onepiece swimsuit rivalling Miss World Australia’s figure….lashings of zinc cream on her nose for sun protection, and a pair of binoculars, really looking the part here…...and also looking pretty chilled, a common trait of most lifesavers on oz beaches :) There is a rubber duckie in the vicinity too…just in case…. i don’t do many skinny chicks, so she’s a bit of a rarity ‘round these parts! lol

Ok . . . I maybe went crazy here. This was actually a blurred abstract of a milkweed stem and leaf. It looks really cool in the original vibrant green but then I hit auto levels to see what happened and this is what I got, the inner spiritual light of the living plant. I had to do it!

The Sassafras tree is growing on the Myrtle tree. Like most rain-forest trees in Tasmania, they can live off each other without destroying themselves. When a tree falls over or dies, often another one will take up the nutrient and continue to grow in this amazing environment. / I have altered the image only slightly to show the support I have for these trees. They are to me (the woman and a girl in the background) me and my daughter Zoe. / I have wanted to animate these two women so that I can make a statement about saving the rain-forest. If you know anyone skilled in doing this, I have a great script to follow and hopefully put it on television. Our rain-forest is being destroyed by forest industries and now, global warming. I see the forest as female, a nurturer of life. This unique Gondwanaland rain-forest is being clear-felled in Tasmania to allow for plantation trees to dominate so that forest industries can get fat on the money made for newspaper industries. the forest will end up as pulp. / http://www.apstas.com/gondwanatimeline.htm#GONDWANA
It was an old mirror, and silvered, and very tired. It was determined to cast no more reflections.

While out with my macro lens shooting bees, I noticed a small motionless bee. I decided to take a closer look as to why it was motionless. As you can see, I quickly discovered it had become lunch for a tiny Crab Spider, also known as an Ambush Spider and or Flower Spider for good reason! Crab or Ambush Spiders are tiny 5 – 7 mm (0.19 ” – 0.28”) spiders that make use of camouflage techniques to catch their prey with their front legs. With a poisonous bite they kill their prey and suck it dry. They can be found on leaves and flowers and may remain at the same spot for days or even weeks. Their front legs are longer and stronger then the other six and held sideways, ready to catch their prey immediately. Due to often sitting out in the open, they too are risking being caught by predators. The Crab Spider shown is feasting on a small species of Bumble Bee on the under part of a Chive flower. “PHOTO INFORMATION” Taken on May 28/09 at 2:59 pm / Taken in Raw Adobe col space / Camera; Canon 20D / Lens; Tamron SP AF Di 90 mm f/2.8 macro, plus Tamron 1.4X teleconverter attached, which equals 126 mm and than with the 1.6 X’s in camera magnification = 202 mm. / Tripod; Manfrotto, including joystick head. / Taken at f/8 at 1/500, EV – 1 1/3, man col balance set at 5750 kelvin, iso 800. / Downloaded to Lightroom 2.3, where I added +25 in clarity, +10 col sat, -5 saturation in the yellow channel. / Uploaded to Photoshop CS2 and sharpened via lab mode, duplicate layer, lightness channel, unsharp mask; amount 35, radius 3, threshold 3.
