I took this pic, while walking my dogs through the woods in the rain. I just couldn’t resist this ‘red carpet’. Taken on Allen Road, Warkworth, Ontario.
I was traveling through the National Wilderness in Thomas Jefferson forest, when this scene appeared before me. I had moments to capture the light breaking through the fog. This picture will be appearing in the March 2008 issue of National Geographic.
This photo recently won 2nd place in the Westford Regional Art Show in the area of young adult photography! Thanks again to everyone for all the great comments!!

Inspired like a lot of my work, by the book The Secret Garden. I am facinated by / the notion of secret doors which may lead to magical experiences or new adventures.
I have always loved ruined and bare country chapels where the outside elements seem to be brought in through the windows and shafts of light. To me, the deep greenwood and forests are nature’s chapels, which can bring you closer to the divine than any grand, gold guilded cathedreal. For me there is no seperation between the divine and the natural world around us…..and I have found peace and harmony many times amongst the sacred Celtic springs and ancient trees in forgotten corners of this country. This image was particularly inspired by the small holy wells of South West Cornwall, where even to this day poeple leave offerings and gifts to the water elements and the old Gods.
A montage of my photographs, the traditional Scottish Croft was photographed on the magical Isle of Ulva, Scotland and the woods were photographed on a misty morning in July on the Isle of Mull, Scotland.

Northumberland, England. One of my favourite places to walk :)
went to the Brecon Beacons in South Wales at the weekend and photographed these beautifull, mystical trees coverd in moss and lichen. They inspired me to do a bit of artwork :-) Doorway comes from St. Konan’s Kirk, Loch Awe,Scotland Now featured in my new Calendar:
Impressionist, painterly / Two boys doing what they do best in the rain. Originally impressionism was that the colour should be dropped pure on the canvas rather than mixed on the palette. Today, now that we have so many new paints and mediums to work with, while the original concept of impressionism remains the same, styles and techniques have evolved. / My style of Impressionism embraces traditional painting. It is the evolution of impressionism that i am hoping to achieve, from the original traditional techniques of impressionist painting all the way to this modern impressionist digital art which can be stylized and painterly depending on my subject and mood. My work is hand painted digital painting and is an emerging art form in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digitizing tablet and stylus, and software. Digital painting differs from other forms of digital art, particularly computer-generated art, in that it does not involve the computer rendering from a model. The artist uses painting techniques to create the digital painting directly on the computer. / I create the painting, directly on my PC, by using a Wacom tablet, a stylus pen and ArtRage painting software. The Wacom tablet can be compared to a canvas or watercolor paper surface. The stylus pen is my paintbrush.

One is made in Belate Port of Navarre and the other is the model with the two unbrellas. I took this portrait of my boy in an impersonal scene and later I realized that this scenery was much more moody and poetic… ;P / Canon 400D Feature work in: / - Winner of the Intrigue Challenge of the Mood & Ambience group (September 09) / .The Art of Intrigue (September 09) / Fantasy Fine Art Composites (September 09) / / - JPG Cast-Offs group (September 09) / / - !
