  • Olinda, near the Hamer Arboretum, Dandenong Ranges.

  • This is again, from a drive through the back roads of the Dandenong ranges in Victoria. I was just driving around and stopping to photograph things that caught me eye (I wound up lost too). This is a plot of land behind a farmhouse near Seville.

  • This was a beautiful place to be – when the children were there is became magical – every door opened wasn’t a garden it was the secret garden and we had to look for lepricorns and fairies and smell every flower and describe every tree.

  • I took this pic, while walking my dogs through the woods in the rain. I just couldn’t resist this ‘red carpet’. Taken on Allen Road, Warkworth, Ontario.

  • Bushwalking in the rain again. This was taken some time last year. It waswet, cold and thesun was just coming up. It was so quiet, I just had to stop, take a breather and a snap. Looks better large

  • At this particular spot the morning-light show on that July morning a few days ago here in the forests near Hilversum/The Netherlands was at its best, when the sunbeams were chasing the morning ghosts. After which trees were they hiding? – I was ever so lucky to find this place in time, as this show was a fleeting appearance. Proposed for “Pay if forward” (http://www.redbubble.com/groups/pay-it-forward) / by Byron. Near Laage Vuursche, 24th July 2008, 7,15 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 48 mm / F 10, 1/30, ISO 200

  • The third in my series “The Soul Of The Forest” / I think that forests and forest creatures have their own protective spirts. Have you ever leaned against a large tree trunk and felt the spirit of the tree? Most people feel peaceful, when in a forest, not only is that due to all of the extra oxygen given off by the trees, but it is also due to the friendliness of the spirits within that live there. This image reflects the light of the one true spirit, the God that is in all of creation, may his love shower down upon us all! Image take at Union Creek, Oregon First time I’ve ever been able to photograph such beautiful light rays! What an experience! *2,142 views and still counting, all since last January ‘09 C3C80_EFBE9_60EFB I have been fortunate to have this piece featured in the following groups: Olympus and Four Thirds, Natural Color and Light, Mountains and Mountain Light: Thank you so much for this honor!

  • These are actually not poplar trees but the nesting colonies of the sociable weavers in the Kalahari desert. The weaver birds build their nests in high trees or in this case man made poles.
