The Path in wonderland. / I Love this image a lot , Spiritually i would call it / ” The road less traveled ” which is also a title of a book that i enjoy reading. / —-—-—-—-—-—— Sally Omar / got inspired by my work and wrote this amazing Poem to go with this Image ,Thank you sally / —-—-—-—-—-—- THE PATH There is The Path of the unknown / Where I walked all alone / No one there by my side / Afraid to run wanting to hide / But as I walked there was such peace / All my fears suddenly ceased / I felt the hand of God calling to me / And the trees and the clouds guiding me / I walked this Path and felt no fear / Knowing that our Maker was near / I prayed aloud wanting Him to listen / Asking him what was my mission / I heard a Voice say down to me / Be a good person and one day you’ll see / A Heaven that is beyond reverie / You shall be honored at the Gate / Where your Lord and God await / So turn around it’s not your time / Live your life and you’ll do fine / When you’re ready for this Wonderland / I will be there to hold your hand.
Several photographs were merged and manipulated in Photoshop CS2 to create this fantasy landscape. And one cried to another and said: “ Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; / The whole earth is full of His glory!” ~Isaiah 6:3
Charcoal drawing, photo and Apophysis layers Gaia – she is rising they shovelled her screams into the pit of silence / and told her nothing was wrong / but she is waking they told her beauty was skin shaven clean / and denuded her of her undergrowth / but she is remembering encased in her corset of asphalt, they dressed her / in roads and cities for their pleasure / but she is rising she is rising like the mist on a clear, cold morning / millennia of sleep fall away from her like grieving / in the light of her regard nothing keeps its meaning / Gaia – she is rising
I have always loved ruined and bare country chapels where the outside elements seem to be brought in through the windows and shafts of light. To me, the deep greenwood and forests are nature’s chapels, which can bring you closer to the divine than any grand, gold guilded cathedreal. For me there is no seperation between the divine and the natural world around us…..and I have found peace and harmony many times amongst the sacred Celtic springs and ancient trees in forgotten corners of this country. This image was particularly inspired by the small holy wells of South West Cornwall, where even to this day poeple leave offerings and gifts to the water elements and the old Gods.
Created in camera. I am constantly drawn to the beauty of forest and trees and the spirit of the place. With this in mind, I often try to capture more than a documentary view of place by listening to the whispers of trees and grass which guide me to the path between reality and a spiritual connection. In this image the living mystery of Spring emerges.
“Where There is Light, There Must Also Be Darkness”, “Every man has a good and bad angel attending on him, all his life long.” – Robert Burton (“Anatomy of Melancholy”) “Man is his own star, and the soul that can, render an honest and a perfect man,Commands all light, all influence, all fate: nothing to him falls early or too late. Our acts are angels are, for good or ill: our fatal shadows that walk by us still.” – John Fletcher (“Upon An Honest Man’s Fortune”) “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” – Bible: 2 Corinthians (11:13-15)
Photomanipulation created in Photoshop CS2. I hope this encourages you! This baby fawn has been hanging around in my back yard for a couple months now. Finally got a picture of her! She is so beautiful I had to incorporate her into one of my pieces. I hope she finds her family soon because she is always wandering around alone. But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, / My glory and the One who lifts up my head. / -Psalm 3:3

One of my favorite places to visit in the beautiful Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina is this grove of trees we call the “Cathedral.” The first time we found it, my husband and I realized we were whispering as if we had entered a church. There is something magical about this place. The silence is total and it seems to welcome us each time we visit. Whenever anyone asks us which church we attend, we glance at each other and tell them “The cathedral in the forest.” Even though the trees were planted by man, there is a sense of a special energy in the center of the grove.
“The LORD your God is with you, / he is mighty to save. / He will take great delight in you, / he will quiet you with his love, / he will rejoice over you with singing.” “The sorrows for the appointed feasts / I will remove from you; / they are a burden and a reproach to you. At that time I will deal / with all who oppressed you; / I will rescue the lame / and gather those who have been scattered. / I will give them praise and honor / in every land where they were put to shame. At that time I will gather you; / at that time I will bring you home. / I will give you honor and praise / among all the peoples of the earth / when I restore your fortunes / before your very eyes,” / says the LORD. / ~Zephaniah 3:17-20 Stock Credits: / Texture by http://inthename-stock.deviantart.com/ / Horse by http://absurdus.deviantart.com/ / Woman by http://mizzd-stock.deviantart.com/ / Background by http://anarasha-stock.deviantart.com/

Lake Falls in Matthiessen State Park is possibly the most magical, spiritual waterfall I have ever photographed. It is special and always blesses me with a wonderful spiritual feel to it. It inspires me to be religous in some way that I cannot explain. / The whirlpool is like God. He has no beginning and no end.
© C J Lewis. Photograph of tree trunk digitally altered. BEST VIEWED LARGE This one is like a where’s Wally … there is a Knight hidden in there … can you see him? The Knight Of The Forest Is a digital painting done on the computer using PhotoPlus 6 software’s air-brush spray colour and smudge tools. I had a little fun with this one by incorporating a little ‘Knight’ hidden within the work somewhat like a “Where’s Wally” to entice the viewer to look further within the structure and to see that trees are not just grey and white … there is a lot of colour within tree bark if you really look deeply at them. You could be surprised at what you actually find. It also depicts that there is a “Knight” hiding within all nature whether it be a tree or in one’s life, that they have not yet recognized or discovered.
