“Clouds on the Water, Fire Near the Sky” / Purchase a Mouse Pad of this image I happened onto this gorgeous sunrise over the White River at a time when the water was at its lowest. I was delighted to catch the calm surface for reflections, as the low rising sun was casting its first orange glow over the autumn colors.
A photo I took this week on a mild foggy morning.I saw that tree on the other side of the lake in the fog….5 minutes from my home…The straight light you see was the sun reflecting on the lake.I added an impressionnist effect … / L’Achigan lake in St-Hippolyte,Quebec,Canada. / A card for many occasions…. / /

Another inspirational walk …... / After being on top of the world, I delved down into this conifer forest to walk on fallen pine needles, ‘twas like walking on a very soft and springy carpet …... any noise was absorbed by it, making it a silent and very peaceful place …....... :)) Copyright 2009 Richie Dean Machynlleth, Snowdonia National Park, Wales, UK Photoshop and PhotoArtMaster 3 images blended together using / Layer masks / Blending modes / Adjustment layers / Filters and tools This work has been featured in / Forests / Impressionist Art / Your Magic Place
The mist around the trees was so beautiful yesterday morning, and everything felt so peaceful, I couldn’t resist a couple of textures and overlays to help create the feeling. Original photograph with grunge texture overlay, colour and levels adjustments. Featured in Red Bubble Home Page, April 2009
This is something I have always wanted to do…. sleep naked amongst the leaves, deep in a forest, knowing I was safe and protected by the tree spirits and the animals. No harm would come to me, and I would dream deeply of the Earth’s soul. The golden web of light bathing my body would fill me with great peace and joy and when I awoke I would know that I truly and rightfully belong. BEST VIEWED LARGE

Placed 4th in the Dream A Little Dream challenge. Placed 7th in the Best Of Featured Blue Works challenge. Recently I was asked where I get my inspiration from, and to be honest, I have no real answer to that. Sure, I could say the music I listen to, the stories and poems I read, but that doesn’t really explain why certain images and ideas come to me. Reality has never really done it for me, and I remember being a young child who wondered why life had to consist of only the normal, boring, everyday routine. Why did I have to live vicariously through films like “The Little Mermaid” and “Alice and Wonderland”? Why couldn’t I make this abstract longing for the surreal and the impossible come to life on my own terms? My dream has always been to give life to the ideas that come to me, to make them visible. Tangible. I live my dream every day. Stock Credits / Model / Background from ImageAfter.com / Stock copyrights remain the property of their respective owners.
Photo taken late in the day at Bow Falls along the Bow River, Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada in the heart of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Notice the Elk crossing the river in the background, an added surprise while taking this photo !! / /

This artwork was featured in Dimensions, Imaginative Realism, Photo Manipulators, and Fantasy Fine Art Composites This image has come to mean a lot to me since I first posted it. When I was making it, I was simply merging a bunch of elements that I really enjoy – nature, juxtaposing seasons, a captivating background, interesting model poses, realistic water, and using a monochromatic blue colour scheme. But I guess subconsciously, I was creating an outward projection of how I feel about a very passionate issue with which I am currently faced… Due to resolution issues, the deer had to be photo-painted into the image. Sutton Bank is a high vantage point at the very edge of the Hambleton Hills and the North York Moors with extensive views over the Vale of York and the Vale of Mowbray. Because of its location and high elevation, Sutton Bank is popular with gliding and flying enthusiasts. Predominant landmarks include Whitestone Cliff and Roulston Scar, the former overlooking the mysterious (and reputedly bottomless !) Lake Gormire. Close nearby are the villages of Sutton-under-Whitestonecliff, and Kilburn (famous for the White Horse of Kilburn, and Robert Thompson – the “Mouseman” of Kilburn). / Sutton Bank is one of the most spectacular inland cliffs anywhere in Britain, and carries one of the most hair-raising main roads in the country. The near vertical drop from top to bottom is around 140 metres, and crosses at least two major geological boundaries. / The Sutton Bank National Park Centre is on the western edge of the fabulous North York Moors National Park – home to the largest expanse of heather moorland in England.
