I find it hard to believe that the mushroom actually pushed the iron off the ground, but it makes a great image! Found in the pine forest at Wentworth Falls, Blue Mountains Australia a few weeks ago. / / Landscapes Trees Cards EOD Rusty Flowers Architecture Macro CatchAll DM / /
I had promised John a fairy in his glade of bluebells, but the Unicorn insisted on coming too – they are such pushy creatures! Thanks to John Edwards for letting me play with his image. Some other Woodland Creatures… © Sarah Moore 2008 Sold – Card

Small blue fungus amongst the unmistakable shape of Myrtle leaves in a typical Tasmanian rainforest. / The first time you see these fungus, you assume they cannot be real. Their amazing colour does make them unique and attractive. / A particularly impressive example, I decided rather than interfere, to leave the small speck of dirt / debris on the front one, keeping it real as I like to do. / It could easily be cloned out if that’s your preference. Dimensions: 3872×2592 pixels. How much detail is there in my images? / This image has an example If you like this, you’ll probably like / my other images.

At this time of the year the Amanita muscaria (also known as fly agaric) grow in profusion in the pine needles of this forest in the Blue Mountains (NSW, Australia). I believe they have magic qualities if eaten (I can imagine!!) ... there must be some very happy little creatures around as a lot of the mushrooms have holes in them! This time last year, I shot Persistence in the same area. Featured in Retired and Happy Group in May 2009 Landscapes Trees Cards EOD Rusty Flowers Architecture Macro CatchAll DM

Found these beauties on the side of a living tree, about 2 metres off the ground. Would have been 40-50 mushrooms in the bunch, covering about 200mm square. Mount Field National Park, Tasmania, Australia. For the fungi pros, I did up the saturation on these a little, were a pale red. Canon 5D Mk II, 65mm 1x. Available Very Large, and best viewed Large!
Headed out especially early this morning … up to the woods … to the deer sanctuary to be specific … ... well … you know, nothing in life is ever guaranteed!! ... Saw some deer – in the distance ... !! / Chuckles / Eventually we decided to walk … open ourselves up to the world of possibilities. Would have it that today was the day for many a mushroom to break into the light of day and make his appearance in the world of Epping Forest. It was truly quite incredible!! I saw mushrooms today that I never before knew existed as a species ;) / :) / Out of all the ‘shroom-shots, I just love this little “village” :) 04 October 2009 Canon EOS 450D / Focal length:65 mm / Exposure:1/10 at f/9 / ISO speed:ISO 400
