A bit of a digital art creation of one of the local city park boardwalks thru the trees. / When I go…I’m always alone taking this walk and it recharges me to stop and breath and listen to the breeze thru the leaves… / / /

One hundred million faces / Whisper high up in the breeze / As their green fills all the spaces / Around their home within the trees / / They speak of rushing wind / As the trees groan in reply / They fear they may be thinned / As the wind goes whoosing by / / They stare into the dark night / Seeking wind that can’t be seen / Only touch and not their sight / Will find the wind this Halloween / / The trees they do not worry / About the wind up in the sky / They can stand against the fury / Of the wind that whooses by / / This is a pure fractal artwork that I didn’t quite get done in time for Halloween. A little something spooky, magical, and whimsical for the kids. It was created in Apophysis. / /
Love to play with old photos I find in my archives. Real trees, makebelive flowers.
Another attempt, lighting is my downfall, but i bought a few tuts from 3dtotal.com to learn about values etc. Photoshop tip: Though one thing that helped me was someone’s blog I was looking at a few weeks ago – If you want to do a dodge/burn layer, hold down Alt while clicking on a new layer, scroll to ‘overlay’ then click ‘fill with gray color’. Best thing I have learned so far.

The wall is silence, the grass is asleep, / Tall trees of peace their vigil keep, / And the Fairy of Dreams with moth-wings furled / Plays soft on her flute to the drowsy world. / ~Ida Rentoul Outhwaite / /

Artists Note: A gnome is an Earth Spirit characterized by its extremely small size and subterranean lifestyle. The word Gnome is derived from the New Latin gnomus. It is often claimed to descend from the Greek γνώσις gnosis, “knowledge”, but more likely comes from genomos “earth-dweller.” Gnomes are traditionally thought of as being small, bearded and wearing pointed, colorful, conical hats. They live in natural areas close to the Earth and care for wildlife. They are more benevolent than other folkloric creatures such as goblins. This traditional view is supported in such fictional works as The Secret Book of Gnomes.

Sprite, her weapon hidden… / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— We live in a magickal and dangerous world if only you open your eyes to see… / / Sprite – Creatures that dwell in meadows and wooded areas. They are very shy and reclusive, but passionate in their distaste and loathing of True Evil. / Because of this, they prefer to battle only those of such darkened nature unless of course, they are attacked first. / In Battle they are fierce, fast and precise. Their weapons can include small bows and daggers, but Sprites are known also for their ability to use their charms as deadly as any blade… —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— Photographic Composite & Manipulation. / Created in PS / Model – myself —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / MCN : CQSVA-G4DWG-35R1J —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— Credits / Background photograph (original and unaltered version) courtesy of ImageAfter.com / PS Cloud Brushes sourced from Brusheezy.com / All other Images & Textures my own. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—

The Hole of Horcum is a section of the valley of the Levisham Beck in the North York Moors of northern England, upstream of Levisham and Lockton. The Hole of Horcum is a vast, 400ft deep natural hollow measuring ¾ of a mile across. It has been naturally eroded over thousands of years by the action of springs, though a more romantic legend tells us that it was created when a giant named Wade, who was in fact a Saxon chief, grabbed a ‘handful’ of earth to throw at his wife, Bell – the soil missed its target and landed to form the 800ft high hill of Blakey Topping which lies about a mile to the east.
