This is again, from a drive through the back roads of the Dandenong ranges in Victoria. I was just driving around and stopping to photograph things that caught me eye (I wound up lost too). This is a plot of land behind a farmhouse near Seville.

This was a beautiful place to be – when the children were there is became magical – every door opened wasn’t a garden it was the secret garden and we had to look for lepricorns and fairies and smell every flower and describe every tree.

A collaboration with Rosalie Dale (my mum!), Misty Morning was perfect for my Avalon series, I think it works perfectly for the beginning of the story… The sword in the stone – where it all began for the boy who would become King Arthur. Born at Tintagel to King Uther Pendragon and the lady Igraine but sent away to serve as a helper in another castle, the boy who would grow up to become King Arthur was raised unaware of his parents’ status. He was a natural leader, a good fighter, and was always scrupulously fair, yet modest and unassuming. One day, a mysterious magician named Merlin announced that in the woods lay a stone with a sword thrust deep into its center. He promised that whichever man could draw the sword from the stone would be crowned the next king of Britain. Men came from all over the land to try their luck with the sword in the stone. Everyone from the knights to the blacksmiths, from lords to peasant children, tried to extricate the sword. None could. Finally, young Arthur was persuaded to try. Feeling foolish, he approached the stone, shaking his head—for why should he be able to pull out the sword, when the strongest of men had failed? But to his surprise and amazement (and to everyone else’s, certainly), as he grasped the pommel of the sword, he pulled it smoothly from the stone. This young unknown boy was to be the next king! Merlin came forward and congratulated the stunned Arthur, and that is where the story of King Arthur all began—with a sword in a stone. While normally I submit different pictures to this gallery here and my galleries on deviantArt, I do not want to keep away from you the shots that are most successfull over there. And this one attracted more than a thousand views in only 16 hours! So I do hope you will like it too. / Taken again near Laage Vuursche in a lovely little beech-tree grove. As you can see the trees are still very green, but there are clear signs that autumn is on the way. It will only take about four weeks now to colour these leaves beautifully. This image was taken at Jekyll Island,Georgia. I used my Nikon D70s. Most people who saw this photo said it is very beautiful and very inspiring piece of work. It has been posted in other art community sites. Since I am a first time Redbubble member, this is the first art piece I am posting and selling it as prints. The third in my series “The Soul Of The Forest” / I think that forests and forest creatures have their own protective spirts. Have you ever leaned against a large tree trunk and felt the spirit of the tree? Most people feel peaceful, when in a forest, not only is that due to all of the extra oxygen given off by the trees, but it is also due to the friendliness of the spirits within that live there. This image reflects the light of the one true spirit, the God that is in all of creation, may his love shower down upon us all! Image take at Union Creek, Oregon First time I’ve ever been able to photograph such beautiful light rays! I love my walks in the woods … and I do come past this particular spot fairly frequently … never does the light seem quite right for a shot with character and personality …. you know the kind of shot I mean – one that “says” something!!
