Tiger Tiger, Tiger, burning bright / In the forests of the night; / Dappled light on furrowed brow, / What careless loss hath man wrought now? In what distant fields or woods / Has your kind been gone for good! / Oh lost hope is not our creed, / We used our greed to do this deed! Stripes of onyx on amber strides, / We raped your kind, you can not hide! / And when thy heart lay still and dry, / Perhaps by then we learn to cry! Bullets, traps, dogs, the like, / Chased you deep into that dark night. / At times you taunted from bamboo lairs, / Places so tight a man not dare! Your kind is leaving, / tis sad our loss! / We beat our chests, / death has no boss! Stars threw down their spears on you / And water’d heaven with their tears / You lay their, dying, filled with fear! Did he who made the Lamb make thee? / Another day you shall not see. Tiger, Tiger, burning bright, / In the forests, one last night: / What immoral hand or eye, / Took your fire and made you cry? Adapted and altered by Mundy Hackett, based upon the famous poem entitled ‘The Tyger” by Sir William Blake! Save the tiger, save the planet, save those things which we wantonly destroy through our greed and incessant pursuit for domination of the natural world. The planet is a living organism, the tiger is but one example of the fire beating in it’s heart, but with each tiger lost in the wild the fire burns a little less brightly. Don’t let the fire go out, save the tiger, save the world! / / / / Part of my line promoting awareness and raising funds for endangered species globally. This is also available as cards and prints. Charcoal drawing, photo and Apophysis layers Gaia – she is rising they shovelled her screams into the pit of silence / and told her nothing was wrong / but she is waking they told her beauty was skin shaven clean / and denuded her of her undergrowth / but she is remembering encased in her corset of asphalt, they dressed her / in roads and cities for their pleasure / but she is rising she is rising like the mist on a clear, cold morning / millennia of sleep fall away from her like grieving / in the light of her regard nothing keeps its meaning / Gaia – she is rising

Another song to source and listen to is ‘green fields of france’ by the fureys … magical song !!! great – ‘friend forever’ or ‘remembrance’ card
Amaltheas Enchanted Home This is a collaboration for the Contest / in the Live, Love, Dream group, themed ‘Inspiration’ / Has been the perfect opportunity for me to collaborate with my Aunty, Kristina, who has a folio full of gorgeous photographs, but there was one in particular that I fell in love with upon first seeing it….The Fern and the Forest As soon as I layed my overactive imagination driven eyes on her photo, I was instantly inspired, / I saw a magickal place, sparkling and shimmering and full of mystery and beauty and I knew I wanted to complete my ‘vision’ with this beautiful photo…. Unicorns have always been inspirational to me, / As a young child, my favourite movie was The Last Unicorn / I fell in love with the story and the magical beauty that was Amalthea, the tragic unicorn on her quest to free her kind, burdened by unfamiliar mortality, love, and regret that comes from her enchanted human guise. / It was the beginning of my life long love affair with all things magickal, has been the doorway to a world of unending inspiration, and opened my eyes to the beauty of imagination. Below is the photo taken by Kristina that inspired my vision, that without, my vision would never have been realised… / Fern and the Forest / This one (below) is Kristina’s photograph of ‘Blue’, Kristinas neighbours pony, who she had grown attached to over the years… / Unfortunately Blue passed away recently. / I thought I would honour him by turning him into not only a magical unicorn, but also an elegant pegasus. / Goodbye Blue / / This is the other photo I have used of Blue, taken by Kristina… / Kristina is a wonderful lady with a heart of gold and a soul that sparkles like sunlight. / Its awesome that she happens to be my aunty aswell. / She married my mum’s little bro before I was born, and Kristina has since been a very big part of the ‘life’ of the family. / Kristina, We love you sweety, thankyou for always being there for me! / I hope you like my vision! Also available on a Tshirt- / thankyou for taking the time to view my art and (hopefully) comment… / please have a look at my other artwork… / hope you enjoy! :) /

Beautiful in every season, Letchworth State Park, in Perry, NY, lovingly called “the grand canyon of the east” stretches 17 miles along the Genesee River, cutting three gorges some 600 feet deep in many places. The river roars over three separate waterfalls, the highest of which is 107 feet. Lush forest provides beautiful cover for dozens of walking and hiking trails along the river and set the gorge ablaze with color in the fall. You can see the upper falls in the background here beyond these middle falls which are the tallest of the three – 107 feet – and cut most deeply into the shale to create this fabulous gorge.

When I visit my Mom in Pembroke we love to visit Pansy Patch Park. It is surrounded by a forest and is such a beautiful and inspirational place, especially in the fall when all the leaves are changing colors. The original image has been modified into a work of art – bringing out, I hope, what my spirit sees, not necessarily everything the lens does. Just a simple forest scene on a foggy August morning, knowing that the fog will be rolling in, is good inspiration to be up, and out early. I really enjoy the simplicity, and the beauty of nature. / August 2009 -
