another image from my walk along the Areuse river in Switzerland. I was on a bridge when I spotted this mossy corner below. I would have walked down there but the terrain was very abrupt so I decided to play safe.
To spend an hour with Mountain Gorillas is one of the best wildlife experiences you can ever hope for. They captivate you with their eyes and you become lost in the moment. This is a composite of about a half dozen images. The foreground is the surface of an avocado, the sky texture is a macro shot of a dirty old feather duster and the idol I found in the backstreets of Fitzroy.

Photomanipulation created in Photoshop CS2. I hope this encourages you! This baby fawn has been hanging around in my back yard for a couple months now. Finally got a picture of her! She is so beautiful I had to incorporate her into one of my pieces. I hope she finds her family soon because she is always wandering around alone. But You, O LORD, are a shield for me, / My glory and the One who lifts up my head. / -Psalm 3:3
How different are the colours in the present winter forest here: just brown and black and grey and a little bit of green somewhere. So when I returned from my wet Sunday morning bike trip just now, I did long for the colour green again. And so I dig up this old shot, bringing my – and hopefully your – minds into a greener world. This dreamful scene of a very peaceful beechtree grove was taken near Laage Vuursche on a lovely slightly hazy day in early October 2007. You could hear the elves whisper behind the trees … Near Laage Vuursche, 4th October 2007, 9.13 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 48 mm / F 10, 1/5, ISO 1000
