  • Now this IS my desktop photo and is one of my favorites, obviously. / I just wish I had taken this at a higher resolution. / The Kananaskis is the foothills area of the Rockies southwest of Calgary Alberta. There is a wonderful road from Longview to Canmore which has some of the most spectacular and available scenery for shutterbugs. A sunny day is just a recipe for a wonderful day of photography.

  • this is the lead singer of REO Speedwagon. shot this tonight 10/12/07 at the Foothills Fall Festival, of which i am their official photographer :) / the concert was Great, got Plenty of shots (more will be coming later) but this one, dont know..when i hit that shutterbutton at the end, and the way he was towards his fans and they to him..just seemed like the shot to start off the Foothills Fall Festival, in Maryville Tennesse. REO got started in 1971 / This shot has won the Bronze Kaleidoscope Award for “Best Event Photograph”

  • Sara Evans performing at the Foothills Fall Festival in Maryville TN, 10/14/07 / She was the one I had waited patiently for three days to get a chance to shoot while performing. However her manager felt threatened by a professional photographer and wanted me out of there after her third song. Which really bothered me since I wasnt there to just shoot her, I was there to get a job done, shoot her fan’s reactions and her band and her perform. I did manage to finish my job tho :D

  • Shot this during the Foothills Fall Festival in Maryville, TN, in October 12th weekend of 2007. I thought it was cool how I had the shadow of the man in front, and then had a shadow on the wall as if someone was behind the guitarist.

  • Trent Tomlison with his lead guitarist playing at the Foothills Fall Festival in Maryville, TN on 10/13/07 (I will have to find the guitarist’s name)

  • This pup is part of the Ulitmate Canines Stunt Dog Show that was held at the Foothills Fall Festival. Owners Tom and Mary Clements run this show. This was also part of what I shot during the weekend’s event in October 2007. This little guy (jack russel terrior) was definitely a favorite of the crowd. They really put on a very entertaining show, and the dogs were awesome in their performance

Schmap 1 Schmap 2 A wonderful State Park in the foothills of Littleton, Colorado… on the outskirts of Denver… I visited there last weekend and took about a 5 mile hike in 23 degree weather… but… you would have never guessed it was that temp… it’s a dry climate so you don’t notice the cold so much, and there was not a cloud in the sky and not a breeze to be found… it was a beautiful day to soak in all that the wilderness has to offer! It’s just always SOOOOOOOO hard to leave when it’s time to go… sigh…. (The slight slope you see here is actually natural, as I took this from the Fountain Valley Overlook…) Lyons Overlook. /

  • Combination one room school house, church, community building, and town hall. These structures are scattered through out the Ozark Mountains, and the foothills of Arkansas. Sooooooo…... These types of scenes are very familiar to me, living here in the good ol’ natural state. My very first years of school began in a one room school house almost identical to this one, and it is now long gone.. When I look at this photograph, I can still see us all running, and playing in the school yard, and hear all of our laughter, and screaming. All the sounds of the children playing, as we went along in our merry, carefree younger days. I remember…........

  • The sun sets over the balsamroot blazing a golden path across the foothills of Snow Mountain Ranch in the Upper Yakima Valley

  • A Sunrise Over Golden Captured overlooking Golden, Colorado from Lookout Mountain / I went ahead and set the scene up and was thinking “Oh ya, maybe I should try using my filters!” and wallah, this is the outcome! It was a cold morning to say the least, and once again my damn tripod was like a flagpole one licks when it is below freezing lol You have to love the feel of cold, icy steel on bare skin! It is so much fun! NOT! lol But I think it was pretty much worth it. Hope ya all like it! / John Minolta 5D / Minolta 18-70 DT Lens / Singh-RAY CPL / Cokin P002 / Dynatran Tripod / And a LOT of hot coffee! / Raw—Processed through LR, find output thru PS and PSP
