Keep Our Garden Green Lyrics © Keeli As I observed what we’ve achieved / It suddenly occurred to me / Things just aren’t the way they should be The Oak on Center Avenue / Became a penthouse with a view / Now all the other oaks are far and few Every generation hands the world to the next / It’s their obligation to give back the very best Our fathers’ fathers planted seeds / To grow the things that we would need / We forgot to keep our garden green The rain won’t fall without the trees / We can’t clean the air we breath / We’ve been taking much more than we leave Every generation hands the world to the next / It’s their obligation to give back the very best What’s in store for all man kind / if we don’t change stop waisting time / Green is more than just a state of mind Our fathers’ fathers planted seeds / To grow the things that we would need / We forgot to keep our garden green Written for project Live Green www.projectlivegreen.com / Recorded in Nashville Tennessee. / Please take a moment and / Listen to the song by clicking here
