EARLY MORNING MOUNTAIN TOP ENVELOPED IN DISSIPATING FOG

  • Hello ! Everybody I was surprised by the great responding of that picture ,that’s why i came back for more explanations. It’s true that i live in a place where nature is the queen .I’m surrounding by lakes ,trees and mountains,my friend Michel is always talking about moving but i want to die here.I’ve been creating a garden for four years now, getting pretty. No neighbors in front ,in the back only on both sides and i never see them .The only bug ,no sunsets and sunrises,i have to take the car ….big thing …. / We are surrounded by a big parc that belong to the «Université de Montreal» that means no construction for many, many yearsThe place I took that pic.is two minutes from my house. The many comments I had made me realise how lucky I am to live in a place like that .THANKS TO ALL OF YOU. Gisèle…alias …Micmac Thanks to Steve for choosing that pic for Pay it Forward Group / / Your image Early Morning has been nominated for the prestigous Pay it Forward Group by / Peaceofthenorth. / This is what he had to say about your image - / “I would like to nominate Gigi’s AKA “micmac ” photo “Early morning”….this is one of those pieces of photographic art that inspires one to perfection, as a Native Canadian artist her work speaks of the love of the land and her surroundings” /

  • I went to the lake very early in the morning ,it was pretty cold but it was worth it ,it looks like the trees were in fire.Oh! NO SATURATION ,this was exactly that color. With saturation we would see some blue tint and we don’t .I could’nt beleive it myself. / I often go to that local city parc on foggy morning. / PANASONIC FZ20 / 55.6 MM-—-1/60 SEC-—-F 2.8-——ISO 100 / Maxhamish(who’s no longer in RB bought a small frame print 4 months ago. / Weberwanjek,a bubbler, bought a mounted print the 11/09/08

  • When the conditions are right where I live we experience the wonderful phenomena of sea fog. The first one I experienced was when I was “in between” cameras. I was devastated! I have been hoping ever since that we would get another one… I peered out the window today while I was on the phone and saw that today was the day! I had to make my apologies to my friend on the phone – a girl has to get her priorities right – and happily spent the next two hours snapping, with my young boys as my photography assistants. The title of this piece is inspired by one of my favourite scenes in Lord of the Rings. Gandalf the mighty wizard gives his life to ensure the freedom of his friends… and so my friend today gave to me the same gift of freedom as I hastily hung up the phone to explore my sea fog.

  • I was traveling through the National Wilderness in Thomas Jefferson forest, when this scene appeared before me. I had moments to capture the light breaking through the fog. This picture will be appearing in the March 2008 issue of National Geographic.

  • Dawn over Loch Voil, (outside Balquidder, Scotland) This is the 6th in a series of 8 images taken that morning (note 5 preceding starting with ‘first light’) taken with my brandnew and very first point and shoot digi camera (a fujifinepix a500) ‘dawn mist’ and is followed by ‘dawn mist rising’ taken just after this one with the frost still on the ground… Then some hours later this lucky shot from a layby ‘mirror calm scottish loch’ / / 5 earlier images are ; / ‘first light’: ‘early mist’: ‘blanket mist’: ‘mist tree’: and ‘tree light’:

  • / Tobermory is a gorgeous little town on the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario. It’s harbor not only filled with luxury yachts but also with a lot of shipwrecks, which makes it a divers paradise. It’s part of the Fathom Five National Marine Park of Canada. Luckily for me you don’t have to dive to discover a few of the shipwrecks. Luckily because I spent to much time underwater once, without diving gear, and I’m not inclined to submerge myself for longer periods under water. ;) This beauty caught my eye when strolling along the shore, with the duck approaching, I had to hurry but I was just in time to capture it. This image is one of my most popular wallpapers on my wallpaper website and I hope it will make me proud here also. You can find this image as a wallpaper on my wallpaper website more work / preview /
