Enjoy!
More art than photo, really… took this in a near-whiteout at Perisher, and extracted the main tree by massively increasing contrast and levels. Hence the slight fuzziness, hence the large drop-off in detail behind the tree, and hence (I think) the rather pleasing effect!
I love fog I love the moon…what a fantastic dream to have them together… / One of my first double layers with Picasa,an experience I’ve tried, the moon is much to big but I liked the spooky mood…... :))....2 photos,a moon and a foggy night. The tittle came to me thinking about «Moonstruck» the movie with Sher when the old italian couple were looking outside the window by full moon .They were so much in love and it was so touching… / /
This was one of those freak photos, straight off my camera, the only thing i changed was the white balance and the original was in color!!!... i walked straight past this spot on the walking track and my friend pulled me up!!! Spider webs were every where, there was late afternoon fog that had nt lifted, sun was perfect, dead trees, it was all there!! 30 mins later when we walked past, the sun was too low and the fog had lifted and the web could hardly be seen!!! freaky…......right place…......right time…....hahahaha…
Resign! Now!
Long exposure by a local pier. Jevnaker, Norway. October 2007.
/ / Out of the Fog is a self-portrait photograph originally taken from artist Jaeda DeWalt’s book/series, Haunting Hands and is part of the DeWalt Gallery collection. About this image / I created this self-portrait while at a crossroads in my life. I was starting to find my voice and that gave me confidence, that confidence gave me courage and i could feel the heavy, emotional toxicity, starting to leave my body. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Available for sale as Laminated Prints, Cards, Matted Prints, Posters, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints and Framed Prints / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / About This Image / Images originally photographed with Kodak CN400 film using a self-timer (black & white film that’s processed in C-41 chemistry). / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Out of the Fog I have come out of the fog / Penetrating this filthy haze that taints my innocence / No longer a victim of my past / But rather a survivor, fearlessly exploring my future / Releasing myself from these chains of self-hatred / Shedding the shame that has coated my soul / For too many years Stepping out of this chamber of horrors / In which my mind has been a prisoner / For so long / Lifting off my shoulders the burdens / Of anger and resentment / I have been carrying for this beast Knowing that though I can never forget / I must forgive the evils / Forced upon my flesh / Rather than weak and dependent / I continue to grow resilient and strong Utilizing challenges of the past / As tools to cope with / The struggles that lie ahead / It is now I let go of the victim inside me / Drinking in the freedom from a past / That will no longer bind me © Jaeda DeWalt listen to Jaeda recite The Chamber / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / This image is featured in Jaeda’s Artography Book! / Shades of the Soul – Click to Preview! / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / You might also like . . . / / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / browse Jaeda’s photographic art by category: / dreamscapes, artistic nudes, couples, glamour, erotica, conceptual, sensual, portrait, spiritual, survivor art / /
Taken at Mammoth Hot Springs (Yellowstone Nat’l Park, WY) on a cold September morning. The sun was beginning to break through the fog, but the boardwalk still led through an eerie scene. Probably my favorite as I like the mystery. Canon Elan II / Velvia film.
