Shot this back in November, 2004, when the grass was much greener, and there was water in the dam. There’s only been water in that dam one other time since then, and it lasted around 6 weeks….this is a nice reminder of what we used to have…. Sold this a number of times pre-redbubble, mostly A3 size, and it won me a $1500 prize from the Brisbane City Council, as well the John Herbert medal at APSCON 2005, and also a number of other smaller prizes. This was sold december 2008 on redbubble as a matted print. The SS Dicky was washed ashore onto Dicky Beach in 1893 during a cyclone. It was re-floated, but again, heavy seas turned the ship about and back onto the sand where it remains to this day. / / The suburb and beach was named after the ship. The beach is an unspoilt stretch of sun-drenched sand, on Queensland’s magnificent Sunshine Coast. Taken with my 5D and 16-35mm lens and I was so lucky to have a nature spectacle as the fog rolled in from West creating a mystic ambience I have also written a photographers guide if you are interested in knowing more about this site

/ Tobermory is a gorgeous little town on the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario. It’s harbor not only filled with luxury yachts but also with a lot of shipwrecks, which makes it a divers paradise. It’s part of the Fathom Five National Marine Park of Canada. Luckily for me you don’t have to dive to discover a few of the shipwrecks. Luckily because I spent to much time underwater once, without diving gear, and I’m not inclined to submerge myself for longer periods under water. ;) This beauty caught my eye when strolling along the shore, with the duck approaching, I had to hurry but I was just in time to capture it. This image is one of my most popular wallpapers on my wallpaper website and I hope it will make me proud here also. In life as well as fishing it’s all about the journey! / As the sunrise burned through the fog early Sunday morning, on Clear Lake near Hunstville, Ontario, two fishermen enthusiastically set out for their favourite fishing spot… / This shot was as a result of an early morning walk in / August 2008 in the fog: part planning, part serendipity.
