Spotted some horses in a field on the way to work yesterday, the sun was just coming through the mist, had to go turn round and go back to have a look and came away with a couple of nice shots. There was a thick frost on the ground, real crisp winter morning Thanks to Richard Shepherd for the title.

Uploaded this at my folks.. No dial up there.. LOL.. This is a view of our back yard out in the bush or what we call country bumpkins .. A table and chairs , watching the sun come up.. In life as well as fishing it’s all about the journey! / As the sunrise burned through the fog early Sunday morning, on Clear Lake near Hunstville, Ontario, two fishermen enthusiastically set out for their favourite fishing spot… / This shot was as a result of an early morning walk in / August 2008 in the fog: part planning, part serendipity. Featured on the RedBubble homepage on Monday, 9th February, 2009 ! / Featured in the group “Italy and all Italian things”. / Thank you so much!!! / Featured on October 10th 2009 – Thank you!!! / We took a trip to Tuscany in October 2006 and stayed for one night in a most beautiful place called San Giminiano. I got up really early in the morning to find the whole landscape beginning to glow in the morning light. Swathes of mist rested in the vales of this beautitul landscape. “Tuscan Dawn” was also taken (a little earlier) on this morning. It was one of those times when dragging yourself out of bed before dawn was well, well worth it! This work is absolutely “as is” work. No manipulation at all, just what we saw! /

One of the benefits of doing night shift in winter time is getting home sometime past 7am after a cold night at work and being greeted by this wonderful sight. / The scattered eucalyptus in farm paddocks appearing out of the mist. / I have had this image on my computer for quite some time and I liked it (sort of) but the frame of mind never quite took me to do anything with it til now. / It didnt quite do it for me, so I decided to b&w it today. So I did the b&w thing, then cropped the top of it and then thought… “hey I like that crop, I wonder what it looks like in colour?” / So I went back to the colour and gave it the same crop and here it is. Misty haunting morning this morning, sitting in a pine plantation at Mt Burr in the Limestone Coast area of South Australia. Last hints of fog lifting as the sun rose towards a clear blue sky. Canon 400D 18-55 lens with ND4 filter. Three shot HDR converted in Photomatix and cropped to size. Damn it was cold!!!!!!!!!!

Out early this morning to watch the sun rise through the fog in a pine plantation at Mt Burr – Limestone Coast South Australia. Certainly worth the cold to see the beauty as the sun tried to force its way into the forest. Canon 400D 18 – 55 with ND4 filter. Processed in Photoshop CS3.
