I went to the lake very early in the morning ,it was pretty cold but it was worth it ,it looks like the trees were in fire.Oh! Dawn over Loch Voil, (outside Balquidder, Scotland) This is the 6th in a series of 8 images taken that morning (note 5 preceding starting with ‘first light’) taken with my brandnew and very first point and shoot digi camera (a fujifinepix a500) ‘dawn mist’ and is followed by ‘dawn mist rising’ taken just after this one with the frost still on the ground… Then some hours later this lucky shot from a layby ‘mirror calm scottish loch’ / / 5 earlier images are ; / ‘first light’: ‘early mist’: ‘blanket mist’: ‘mist tree’: and ‘tree light’:

/ Tobermory is a gorgeous little town on the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario. It’s harbor not only filled with luxury yachts but also with a lot of shipwrecks, which makes it a divers paradise. It’s part of the Fathom Five National Marine Park of Canada. Luckily for me you don’t have to dive to discover a few of the shipwrecks. Luckily because I spent to much time underwater once, without diving gear, and I’m not inclined to submerge myself for longer periods under water. ;) This beauty caught my eye when strolling along the shore, with the duck approaching, I had to hurry but I was just in time to capture it. This image is one of my most popular wallpapers on my wallpaper website and I hope it will make me proud here also. In life as well as fishing it’s all about the journey! / As the sunrise burned through the fog early Sunday morning, on Clear Lake near Hunstville, Ontario, two fishermen enthusiastically set out for their favourite fishing spot… / This shot was as a result of an early morning walk in / August 2008 in the fog: part planning, part serendipity. This image was shot at dawn. I waited on the lake in the dark in my kayak until the sun started to peer over the horizon and the mist I had been kayaking through became evident. The silence was golden. This is the picture I have in my head of that moment, a place I want to return to over and over again.

Got inspired by some of my friend Shawn’s work on the Orton effect and tried it out too. It was really foggy so I felt the effect added to the mood. Thanks Shawn for teaching me something new.
