  • This was one of those freak photos, straight off my camera, the only thing i changed was the white balance and the original was in color!!!... i walked straight past this spot on the walking track and my friend pulled me up!!! Spider webs were every where, there was late afternoon fog that had nt lifted, sun was perfect, dead trees, it was all there!! 30 mins later when we walked past, the sun was too low and the fog had lifted and the web could hardly be seen!!! freaky…......right place…......right time…....hahahaha…

  • Taken in Nairne in the Adelaide Hills. The sun as it rose through the fog turned the branches & dried grass a beautiful golden red colour. I also used the ‘shade’ white balance, which helped to enhance the yellow & red tones.

  • This was taken at a dam in Oakbank in the Adelaide Hills, Australia in winter at dawn. We don’t get any snow in Adelaide, as our summers are very hot. There is still some fog around on the water. This is pure bliss to me. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera, on a tripod. This was taken because of the mood created with the fog, the winter sunlight lighting up the boat and the 3 waterfowl swimming in the opposite direction to the boat.

  • Light spills through and around the limbs and leaves of a large gum tree in as the sun rises through a morning mist in the Adeliade Hills of Australia.

  • Early morning light illuminates a gnarled white gum in a paddock in the Adeliade Hills region of Australia. ( I was blessed with an Editors Pick in the Man& Nature Forum on Nature Photographers Network the first week of May 2008)

  • The mist and fog had a real ‘tea-stained” appearance the morning this was taken!!

  • I’d driven from the scottish borders to ben nevis, (the highest peak in uk) to meet some damp friends through low cloud and light rain…so the few shots I took were pretty glum and dismal looking….. But after slight tweaking I liked the wetness of this classic sight with every blade of grass just laden with moisture and the light rain still falling… Typical camping weather! / / View large to see in full ‘soggy-vision’ ... ;)) Taken with an old compact nikon coolpix 4800

  • “A Boab Sunrise” Photography & Artwork / by Holly Kempe © Sony a100 camera / Photoshop CS4 artwork The Australian Aboriginal legend of the Boab Tree (or Bottle Tree): “When the tree God created the Boab Tree it was to be the most beautiful of all trees in the universe, with the most beautiful flowers and bearing the juiciest fruit. But as the tree grew to maturity its flowers were mediocre and its fruit had a bad odour and tasted vile. The Tree God became so angry that he yanked the Boab out of the ground and slammed it back in the earth upside down and that is why today, when you see a Boab tree, it looks as if its roots are growing up in the air.” Thangool, Queensland A Boab Sunrise was featured in the: Trees group – Sept 09 Image Writing group – Sept 09 Queensland group – Sept 09 Inspired Art group – Oct 09
