  • / You’ve seen this egret before. The rest of the scene was computer generated. I used a new tool to me here called the Art History Brush Tool to create the misty look and clouds. The sun and sky were created from a gradient brush and I used blur to, ah, blur it. i created the land using the freeform pen tool and flood to create the water. The reflection of the egret was created from a duplicated layer of the bird and lower opacity. That’s about it. Hope you like! • I took the viewfinder and my Canon down to the beach on Sunday to take some summer shots. This is one of the results from that day. The seagull flew into the shot and I didn’t notice it until I started processing this one. There was a feeling of closure and finality in this shot with the gull included. I really enjoy a bright sunny day with a few clouds scattered across the sky. Especially sitting down on the beach, really makes me feel like a kid again. Original shot cropped and layered once, with hue adjustment and a warming filter added. See here for instructions on how to create this image. Canon 50D / 18 – 55, 58mm / f7.1, 1/125, ISO 100 / Ansco Rediflex / Home Made Darkbox Edited and uploaded 11.40pm MCN: CARV8-GNWGE-4DT9Y More TTV work:
