“If Elephants Can Fly, Anything Is Possible” Sweet, simple, whimsical colored pencil drawing of two elephants, one pink and one green, flying around a serene moon. A delightful gift for any occasion, particularly a fun congratulations or happy encouragement for a major achievement in life.

Watching one of my favorite series, Band of Brothers, I was struck by one of the interviews of a now elderly veteran recalling those early days of WWII. He stated, “What did we know, we were just dumb country folk.” It wasn’t his statement that struck me with a sense of sadness, but his humble belief it actually may have been true. These days people aren’t nearly as honest, instead, arriving at politically correct phrases such as “Fly Over Country,” which implies the same derisiveness this elderly man came to understand. This painting is a large scale oil painting on primered wood panel, 24×36
