This image was taken when we went up in the “Singapore Flyer”. / It’s even bigger than the “London Eye”. / This is looking across the centre of the spoke. / And you can see the tall skyscrapers below in the bottom half. / I just can’t wait for the Melbourne version to start running. / Note the perfect lines of the metal cables and spokes of the wheel. / And it’s worth every cent. =================

Taken 165m above the ground level from the Singapore Flyer, this shows a section of the Singapore skyline above the picturesque Marina Bay. Located on the southeast tip of Marina Centre, Singapore Flyer is claimed to be the world’s largest observation wheel (ferris wheel). It offers panoramic views of about 45km around on a clear day including parts of Indonesia as well Malaysia. Commissioned on February 2008, this giant wheel comprised of 28 passenger carrying capsules stopped moving trapping 173 passenger on December 2008 owing to a simple short circuit in the main control room. Bets viewed large.

He’s actually sitting on my books, chewing the spines . I did this anistropic diffused effect a some years ago. I never did get it looking like a real knot hole, so I may start over. Frosty was an unreleasable Southern Flying Squirrel that I raised one winter in NC. He was found at the base of the tree by deer hunters and kept warm enough to survive. I carried him to Montana for Christmas vacation that year and fed him squirrel formula from a syringe. He was injured and wasn’t releasable. I had an educational non-release permit and he’s visited many schools and nursing homes. His big eyes and fur as soft as a bunny is a big hit as he doesn’t mind being petted. Flying squirrels live all over the world. Some states permit them as pets and some don’t. They bond with humans and make good educational animals.
