Baby rhino running rings around it’s mum and dad. It was so funny; looked like a puppy running up and down the hill, over to us and back to his parents then back to us again. Neowng! Here he is again – he’s skipped the ditch / A collaboration between Sam Cole-Surjan and I. Sam took the bush shot in Tolmey, near Mansfield Australia. I played with it and made The Yellow Dirt Road Then I added young Skippy here (sounds alot easier than it was). Hey! That’s my blood! Black-shouldered Kite (elanus axillaris). I have spent many rewarding and challenging / hours in the great outdoors finding and / photographing some of Australia’s wonderful wildlife. / Here I present a piece featuring a beautiful bird / of prey: the Black-shouldered Kite. I find it a striking bird with its snowy white / feathers and intense amber/orange eyes. / On a couple of occasions I have been able / to get close views of them in the wild. we were out for a walk on the quayside in Newcastle and the gulls were going crazy, managed to get this one catching a piece of bread and even managed to get half the tyne bridge in !!!! lucky or what :-)

This shot was taken from a pedestrian bridge over the thames. The flight path to heathrow that day was over the city, so every 90 seconds a plane would appear in shot …. very handy. Cropped and treated in photoshop.
